Yeah I did, only got two on the front. They are quiet and seem to be quite grippy but I havent had a chance to push them yet, I have the NEXENs on the rear and they are a bit noisy but good grip in the dry.

Those Maxxis 245/35 R19s looked bloody good for $249

Just thought I'd give you guys a bit of an update on my last post in this thread. Went and got some Falken's fitted . Drove straight back to pedders. They said "All O.K".

Went to another suspension shop for second opinion. They had a new Bisbath aligner so I was keen to see idf there were any differences in the readouts. So we set the aligner up. He grabbed his tape measure and measured ride height (Ssl King springs). First hurdle. Ride height had to be specified in the aligner and my car was 10mm lower than lowest height...... Just my luck... Pedders alignment was 0.3 mm total toe

So we decided to experiment a bit. the new bisbath aligner has a general guide to suggested settings and maxium toe settings, which had abot 1mm difference. Hence total toe 1mm suggested (2mm max). so we decided to set it to 2mm total toe. Another problem that we had was even with a camber kit. We couldn't get enough camber out of the left wheel. This is not detrimental to tyre wear and he said it may just track a little bit more than usual. 5000 km's later all looks ok. 1mm difference between inner and outer tread so I may take the total toe to 2.5mm total. Has anyone else had similar problems??? or suggestions for other forum members.

Just for interest sake the Pedders alignment was 0.3 mm total toe. Just goes to show that good alignres are worth their weight in gold

Hope that this help some of you

I had a 4 wheel w/a recently and they had trouble because I have different width wheels F & R with different profile tyres (19 x 8.5" and 19 x 9.5" with 245/35/19 & 275/30/19). It seems to be OK but, it steers and goes around corners much better now.

As far as alignments go, stick to someone who has good equipment and ability and is genuinely interested in doing a good job. Any alignment takes at least an hour and should be checked before adjustment and again later after a good drive. Remember that each alignment is unique and can be tailormade to suit your application ( street use, club motorsport, drags etc etc) so tell the guy what you want and they should be able to recommend the most appropriate settings. Word of mouth is usually the best way, bitter experience is another.. Mal K
