was looking on ebay and found a guy selling trans coolers. $35.

are these necessary and are they easy to install? I only have an edit and transmission is holding up fine atm

I would say its a definite must if you plan on stalling it up. That sounds pretty cheap... does it come complete?

Sounds like you're happy with what C&V have done for you to date. Don't be a tight arse and get them to put on whatever they suggest.

It's not like a good sized recognised cooler is going to cost the Earth in the scheme of things :spoton:

lol was only asking about install as I do enjoy the DIY stuff. also sometimes lazy to drive 1 hour up to C&V, its always damn school zones.

The wog should be able to supply and fit one for around the 250 mark.

He has fitted mine, sandwhiched between the IC and radiator. And cos the IC is still offset, the tranny cooler gets a good 1/2 of it's face in the airflow.

try a pwr cooler for around $170, I got mine from e-bay and fitted it behind the drivers fog light, kit came with everyting supplied

These are of definate benefit and value in the overall scheme of thing's.

$35 will get you something, but not an installed transmission cooler unfortunately...

Was a fan required ? or could you duct air flow to it ?
