I take my hat off to you matey, that looks very bloody good indeed. $2K is a bit rich for my purse, but if money were no object I'd have one on my T for sure. Good luck, it's great to see new members like you modding their cars in different ways.

Mighty fine looking 'Phoon too BTW. But I agree with the comment that, on your F6 anyway, it makes the front look a little busy. On a regular T, with black grills, I think it would look even better. The brighter silver grill of the FPVs, IMHO, actually detract from your bonnet a little.

Just considering this version without a bulge.

I Can mod a steel bonnet but not fibreglass. Using a steel v8 bonnet would add over $800 to the cost because I would be sourcing the original bonnets from Mr Ford.

I could look at doing the complete bonnet in Fibreglass but each style has a large cost to mould and the fibreglass needs to be strong enough to support the large front opening.

The way I'm considering creating these is to buy a standard Ford steel bonnet and cut and shape them. Due to the weakness in the standard bonnet it needs a fair bit of work strengthening.

I wouldn't do it myself as I don't have tools needed and given the thinness of metals involved wouldn't have the skills to prepare it myself.

The back vents fit within the existing frame. The bonnet is slightly heavier at the front but the overall weight doesn't really change and it doesn't seem to effect the struts.

Because standard ford bonnets aren't too dear the cost of shipping bonnets to me and the risk of damage in transit make the option of exchange bonnets a bit to much effort for the savings.
