When I finished typing this tail of woe I realized I had written a novel so for all u that cant be bothered reading it, I will sum it up for you "Truck hits T up Bum" for all the rest see you at the bottom.

As some of you may have read in the body mods section I finaly got round to paint the bobtail and fitting it to the falcon  . Well wasn't that a mistake.

I was doing the usual friday afternoon thing and heading up to see the GF in Sydney, heading north up the Princess highway I got stuck in the standard bumper to bumper traffic at Albion Park Rail. I was sitting in the right lane behind a XR8 cop car and a because a truck in the left lane was doing the "go very slow so I don't have to stop Shuffle" a rather large space between the truck and the car in front had opened up.

Seeing as the left lane moves faster due to most people turning left at the round about I thought great a chance to make up 15 or so cars in the que, so with the truck still a few cars behind I jumped into the left hand lane and moved up to the end of the stopped traffic. A Perfect crime, me having made up two minuites that I would not have to spend in stop start traffic and the semi still happly doing the shuffle behind.

Fifty or sixty meters down the the road the semi had run out of room and stoped rather close to my back bumper, putting me right under is nose and into his blind spot. As he's stoped I looked at the rear vision miror and all I saw was grill and bull bar, f*ck that's a bit close but as the traffic was not moving so I forgot about him, unfortunately he forgot about me as well.

So the car in front of me starts to move up to cover the gap between the cars in front. As I drive a manual when stopped in traffic I pop it out of gear and dont put it back in and move up unless there is a decent amount of space in front, saves on the tired left leg. The truck seening the car in front of me move decides its time to move up as well and drives right into the back of my car.

When it shunted the T all I could think of was "what the F*ck was that" and looked back out the mirror only to see the bullbar coming at the back of the car again and bash into the car again. By this time the truckie realized that the bumps he felt was not a bit of road trash but my car, as he could now see the T's bonnet as the second hit had pushed it out of the blind spot and I had jumped out of the car and was now standing in the middle of the road yelling some rather nasty words at him.

After that we both pulled onto the side of the road and he appoligized and we did the exchange details thing, a good bloke really but his my least favorite person at the moment.

A this point its been to the pannel shop for a quote, it going to be a least a few grand

with the boot and bumper need replacing , the rear beaver pannel bent in and the new bobtail scrached. The only good thing is that I dont have to pay for it.

She goes in to be fixed in a week and a half so hopefuly it will be cruise worthy in two weeks and yes I tried to buff it out

The evil truck in question and yes its a Westernstar not a KW

We thought so too, if the bar had been an inch or so higher we may have gotten away with it, unfortunatly it was not to be Truck Butt F*ck for the T

Count back on the final score Semi- .9999999 / Falcon -.000001

Whilst it's a real pain, I think you got off lightly.

Just think what the car would have looked like if the KW had just 10km/h more speed at the point of impact.....
