Im devastated. What a loss. What an inspiration he was. I remember waking up early on all those Bathurst Sundays in the 80s to go to a mates place to watch him tame the mountain. There was no one better than him. RIP Brocky from your biggest fan. You'll be sadly and greatly missed.

My favourite memory of Brockie was sitting at the corner near the OBrien "over the hill" dog leg at Oran Park (corner one prior to going on to the main straight) as a young 17 YO whipper snapper, with him in the SLR5000.

Brockie - time after time after time - was the only one of the whole field to go over there flat to the boards without lifting off. It was testament to his brilliance. You only had to experience that full house approach - at what was nearing the peak of his career, to know how good he was. It will LONG be remembered.

Well done Brockie. Thanks mate. It was great.

Being a Ford fan and a huge fan of Dick Johnson, Brocky was my nemises. He was a bloody great driver and and a kid I had a chat with him even though it was clear I was a Ford fan. He still said gudday.

What an absolute stinker of a week.

Sorry to all the loved ones in pain at the moment.
