Hard Lid Replaced Under Warranty

Just had new BF hard lid fitted under warranty to replace my BA one that had developed a warp between the struts, anyone with a BA lid should check theirs out as Ford will replace them if they are warped no problems just expect to be without your ute for a day as the new ones are mounted completley different, don't think this one will warp the way its mounted(here's hoping anyway) it seems to be alot more solid. The BF ones dont lift up as far as the old one though which is a pain in the bum.

That's pissing me off with mine, you can't get to the front of the tray very easily.

But the hinge mounting is certainly heavy-duty

Do you have any pictures of the lid how bad was the worping???

I thought 99% of BA hardlids had some kind of warping where the struts are.

the new BF Lids are foul.... the sides are to big, it makes them look 10' thick!!

give me the slim & flat BA hardtop anyday

times 10!!! i hate the BF lids..cheapo plastic liner and if they where any bigger they'd rub on the ground if you cornered hard....i'l take my warped 5 mins to remove ba hardcover over a you bewdt, bf plastic fantastic, like trying to break out of alcatraz to remove it hardcover any day... but thats just my 2c's..

but hey at least ford finally looked after a customer on a waranty claim for once...good work mate...

I will have to agree. Mine is straight along the sides but warps along the back when cold, once in the sun it pops up in the middle and straightens out on the back. Since its dark and night and its straight in the sun I'm laughing. temptingto go get a BF lid though, but I hate the 10" thick side.
