Sorry, my opinion is that you start your own XR8 forum, if you think there is enough interest. There is enough stuff here to get through as it is, without opening it up to new categories. To be democratic, you could start a poll.

If their is enough interest we can open a XR8 and XR6 N/A section on the site. However the main reason for not doing this, is that issues that even happen with the XR6 Turbo happen across the entire BA Range, so it may be doubling up.

yeah well I think that would a good idea, have a section for XR6 N/A, XR8s and non-XR BAs....I mean we all have a common interest - BA falcons and of course keeping those bloody CommonWhores at bay :-)

I mean a few of the guys on here that have been long time member have upgraded to GTs, so I'm sure they don't want to change sites to get information. Likewise I join this site because I was considering a Turbo, but in the end decided on an XR8...

There is to the best of my knowledge a section entitled any ford in the BA range. Shove the V8's in there.

nizpro definately went in the right direction in removing all that unecessary piping.

A little bit pricey for me as I probably would not want to alter internals of the engine but a good start to make some serious HP.

At the end of the day you need to be confident of the ability of the guy doing the tuning and nizpro have a good track record.

I must admit the unichip tuners in Sydney are fairly average. In the past with my rex's both C+V prformance and Croydon Auto Sports failed to tune the unichip properly. I didn't really know any better at the time but I am more experienced with turbo cars now and know better.

These guys just load a base maps that they got from APS and adjust the mixtures slightly where needed to suit your car .

Anyway getting off the topic so give us an update when it's done cant wait to see it

hmmmm, I don't agree I found Croydon to be great. My car goes great! Its as smooth as what she was when stock. Ive never had any work done at C and V but after talking to Con, he seems to really know what his talking about! anyway sometimes people get problems where others dont, like me with my purchasing dealer, everyone speaks highly of them but I didnt get treatment that would make me speak highly as a matter of fact my feelings are as low as they can be!

I agree both of the mentioned tuners do good work, being a aps dealer I have seen maps from most tuners around. these guys know their stuff.... imho kel

also, do you think you could make the piggyback computers so they don't have to splice the loom ie make a plug that goes between the factory computer and the loom. this way you could unplug it for servicing, so there's no affect to warrenty....

this is my main concern with the these mods is my warrenty, if I wanted a car with no warrenty, I'd stick with my EF and turbo that!

If somethings "major" happens with the car (warranty) and they find someone has "tampered" with the main harness by putting a plug on it, it wont be too hard to work out what that plug does!

that's very true.....

but in the case of the XR8, very good increases can be had by an exhaust, intake mods and a unichip WITHOUT affecting my warrenty....

It seems like most of you guys have modded your Tees with chips, how do you feel about the fact your cars are no longer warrentied??
