According to them ford have instructed that they be absolutly tight on warranty issues. The guys reckon even changing the exhaust or anything, no matter how small will void the warranty!! This has shattered me, considering they didn't really mind honouring the warranty on my AU and I have done heaps to that.... :(

Even changing the exhaust could potentially result in a significant hike which could be enough for some of the drivetrain components. That's probably what they'd be concerned about.

Guest edxr6 Guests Posted 29/10/02 10:59 PM Posted 29/10/02 10:59 PM If you dump the cluth at 5000 RPM in a standard WRX, you'll be lucky to have a gearbox left. High Octane 2 has a sequence of a rex getting it's clutch dumped and you can see the gear bits fall out underneath.

Some time later (still in warranty) the fuel pump died. Ford wouldn't cover it and they claimed the owner had voided warranty on the car FRONT TO BACK by fitting a non factory accessory.
