page 15 newy herald , council still to have a meeting tonight to decide whether or not to adopt an officers recommendation not to run the event.

Sounds like you guys have one officer up your way with a real problem with letting any thing to do with cars happen.

Fully agree mate , Very narrow minded to believe people will just stop modding cars because this guy doesn't like it.

I'm all for a strong police presence to keep people in line (defect traps outside these venues or wsid is another story though - but that's a rant for another day) coming and going to the venue. That way the community stays safe, we all bring our cash and support local businesses and everyone wins.

I doubt after this event that it will be run again, to much commotion going on .

hopefully some of the locals will see the benefit of extra cash in the region and argue for it. It's kinda like making a new race track - lots of people agree its needed but no one wants it in their area.
