Force6 and Force8 is probably just registered by FPV so Expensive Daewoo can't use it. Just a thought.

Nah mate - a supercharged V8 for the Orion has already been signed off at FoMoCo. I just don't know yet what the base motor is going to be but I think it will be a crate engine from the US - Ford have done their testing with a batch of these.

But that's not to say they won't go with the larger displacement Aussie 3-valve motor but it is an outsider at this stage IMO.

just a little something I heard from a friend of mine who's close friend has worked at Ford in the testing department for a long time & he tells me that the GTHO name will most likely be used again in an All Wheel Drive supercharged FPV. Now I know you've heard stories like this before but a couple of years ago I did meet this guy & he happened to be driving an XR8 & it was All Wheel Drive, so the development has been finished for some time.

Funny that. Flip side of the coin is if they keep trying to play second fiddle against a very large GM catalogue of engines that Holden/HSV have access too the local built V8 will always be sh*tter. theres just not enough money in it to develop a competitive engine...
