I have learnt from another forum that FPV have registered the following name with the Australian Trademark Office.

FPV FORCE 8

Lodgement Date: 24-APR-2006

Class/es: 12

Status: Indexing Approved

Now, it's is FPV (not Ford) and I'm hoping that the name refers to a forced induction 8 cylinder. Of course, I'm only speculating...

How long before the F6 did they register that name?

Might be something in the works for 3 or 4 years time perhaps?

Next Model... its well known its code named project Orion.

Ford Modular Engine with Positive displacement blower sitting on the top, same as Mustang set-up.

It was singed off on April this year, the only thing we want to know wether its a create engine from the states or the engine will be continued to be built here and the blowers bolted on.

The initial 6 P/D Blower engines were create engines from the states were sent over for testing 18 months ago.

F8 would have been a better choice IMO. The blown Mustang motors are only the 4.6's.

looks like ford have finally woken up and smelt the roses in the past couple of years. Capacity is great and so is boost, combine them and you have a leathel package. they did this with the F6 and if there is to be a F8 I would be putting my hand up for a purchase.

Be interesting to see how hardcore it is? And what block it carries, the Boss block with a PD Charger on top has to be as heavy as a Big Block. Maybe they'll run some limited edition thing with an Alloy Block?

Getting the weight off, especially off the nose and the GT's will be ahead on the F6's again I think.

Lumpy

Funny that.

Just the other week a guy said to me. 'F6 eh, what's that?" I told him what it was.

He didn't quite understand the link between Tornado/Typhoon, the F rating of Said winds and the fact it was turbo a charged 6. It ties together nicely, but not for a resident of bogaan..

He them promptly said " Is there an F8". I said no, there's no such thing, the strongest 'F' wind is 6, hence the name. He " nah dude, car, F8, is there one" to which I said no. The GT is the V8 equivilent, but that only blows hot air..

maybe.....untill now....

There's also an FPV Force 6, lodged at the same time as Force 8
