I just got back from my dealers. I went there to get an oilfilter to service the F6 and what do I see in the driveway ?

A brand new Black TT Ghia. I went in and asked if I could go for a run, of course I was.

I snapped a few pics of the car on the phone and a short video of a standing start.

The car drives like a normal territory, but with the power of a XR6 Turbo, I guess that was a given, but I am suprised just how well it does drive. There seemed to be less lag than the turbo, with the power instantly available, so I guess the intercooler location and 3m less pipework does make a difference :pooh:

The TT seems more stiffly sprung, but that could just be the 50km on the clock. the brakes are awsome and haul the beast up each time without a hint of fade.

The interior is normal Territory, but it has the black LTD ICC and the brushed alloy gauge cluster of the G8. It comes together well and is both nice to live with a good to look at.

All I can say is we will be looking at this car in a few months to get out of our Kluger, I think the NEO colour will suite these best.

I think you would be hard pressed justifying the extra $90k to get an X5 over one of these :spoton:

If anyone is interested, go down to Titan Ford in Brookvale and Ask for Gavin or Brenton....tell'em Mal sent you

how long before someone grafts the scoop to a xr6t and fits the territory intercooler.

I doubt it very much.

On our rexes we usually ditch the top mount IC and replace with a much larger front mount IC. Top mount IC's aren't usually very big.

Sure there's a lot less piping for a top mount compared with the front mount on the Ford T, mainly because Ford did a poor design job with regard to piping on the Ford T in the first place.

I think the TT will get a lot of sales. I can see one replacing my wifes STi in 3 years. Thanks Mal.

These days I don't think Ford quote any accelleration figures - too politically incorrect, they are no doubt still smarting over the F6 torque figure that all the do gooders went bezerk about. Should be a write up about Territory T in Wheels or Motor soon.
