The company im buying the discs and pads from has adr compliant stainless braided brake lines for $280 for the 5 lines. Is this a good price.? Im keen to do some track work once the ute has the manual fitted to it so would the ss brakelines be a worth while upgrade? $280 seems like alot but it is for 5 lines and im paying $230 for one front disc so I dont think its too bad. what do you guys think...?$280 for the lot is a good price. Normally s.s braided line are around $100-$120 each. Make sure they are ADR compliant and are marked accordingly. I'm curious why there are 5 lines ? There is a pair for the front and a pair for the rear. They only other line I can think of is the clutch line, maybe that's what your referring to.Also if your doing it yourself, note you will need to drill out the rivet on the bracket holding the rear lines, and then fit your replacements and re-rivet them back in place. Beside that the rest is a piece of cake.Don't forget to bleed the lines, starting with the longest line first and work progressively back to the shortest (from the master cylinder). This ensures no air in the lines. ie passenger rear, drivers rear, passenger front, driver front.CheersRobin.

The lines are adr compliant and mark accordingly.

Due to set brake upgrades were hard to do, so I put DBA drilled and slotted rotors allround, and EBC greenstuff pads. Brakes so much better, however after about 5000 km and some spirited driving and braking, the pads leaked resin onto the rotors. Turned my whole brake setup into a hoorible vibrating mess. Nothing would fix it apart from changing pads and machining rotors. Never ever had the same feel aftere that. You did not mention what rotors you were going to run, but ask about the pads and the resin content before you use them.Cheers Scotty

Being stainless wouldnt they be difficult to paint?←ADR compiant lines have to have some sort of rubber sheatch over them anyway. Most times it's a clear silicone rubber so you can get the bling factor from the braid

More than one brake parts retailer has told me that they are prone to cracking. Im just going for dba 2000 series slotted rotors. The guy from hightek brakes also told me that the EBC brake pads need a certain run in procedure that if you dont follow can cause the resin leak that you described. Ive used EBC's on my motorbikes and mountain bikes for years and i think there a very good padBut thanks alot for the tips mate...

Have you asked them?
