Bought a 2nd hand unichip on ebay for $400 including the XR6T plug in wiring loom, Getting it custom tuned and dynoed before and after by x in Sydney will post my results when it's done, Booked in for tomorrow , keen to start bets on what I will see before and after!!!!

I think it would be fine with the power levels you would be expecting from just a tune.

Gearbox will hold up OK if you don't abuse it :msm:

My T had a 2nd CAI and unichip only fitted by APS and is went from 191rwkw to 221rwkw.

I would expect you will have 220-230rwkw.

The main downside of the unichip is the dealer will spot it and add you to the warranty alert list. This will essentially void your driveline warranty.

Im sure you could. But he picked up the chip for $400.. Custom tune of a couple hundred and he will almost net the same result as the edit, for about $500 cheaper!

Good on him for modding in the first place!
