I am however looking at getting a bit more power from it in the next 12 months or so. Currently I would like to at least get 290kw up from the standard 240 odd kilowatts stock standard. Doing this with the say the capa edit or stealth flash units without any other modifications at all. Is it safe on the drive train and auto gearbox? What else do I need to get done? All you guys and girls knowledge will much be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

I also think that a good tuner should be able to adjust the parameters of the auto to protect it aswell. Much more than 290kw and it could be an idea to strengthen a few of the auto's parts like bands and clutches. I'd suggest getting a trans cooler even at 290kw's too.Best bet would be to get in touch with a few tuners in your area and go with who you're comfortable.Geea.

21/02/06 07:36 AM21/02/06 07:36 AM #5 edit only gets about 240-260kw at the wheels. that's without CAI mods or anything. pretty damn fine considering it costs $1300 tuned!

Thanks in Advance. From my xperience I have only had the 1 problem with edit. that's the car cutting off.But I really think it comes down to the way its being tuned.

With a few more dollars you can have that at the wheels.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well being the conservative driver as I am- and not a thrasher, 290kw sounds just right for me at the flywheel and something I may be happy with. It would be great to know how far the motor can be tuned with stock standard without any other modifications being done to it, whilst not putting to much strain on the existing stock standard engine parts and drivetrain. I may intend to just increase the power at a later stage in small increments and just looking at the options without going all out.
