Hi, could somebody explain to me what over boosting and spiking is please. last night I took the car for a burst and while I was at full throttle I got a noise from under the bonnet like a horn going off (no jokes please) Not loud but a similar sound. Could this be over boosting or spiking.

No,that dont sound like the symptoms for overboosting or spiking...

if your car was over boosting that loud it would go into limp mode..

do you have an alarm maybe it played up on you

No I dont have an alarm. Dont know what it was it didn't go into limp mode but it made me button off, and everything seemed ok.
