It allows air to be drawn into the engine (clean air through the filter.) The PCV valve is located on the rhr of the rocker cover. It's a 90deg fitting and the hose runs off to the manifold (the hose has a one way valve in it) The PCV allows a small amount of air to be drawn into the engine with its running (emissions control prevents hydrocarbon loaded air from exiting the crankcase) The PCV shuts under boost to prevent the crankcase from becoming pressuried when the engine is under boost.

I presume you have seen it in the flesh? If you haven't, man you are missing out on something pretty special Brendan, the existing Xtreme 4" single (now also produced by SMB) seems to be quite popular with the higher powered Ford Turbo's (or slugs like Dean's) & is reasonably cost effective compared to a custom job. Simon had one on his old BA with 551rwkw & well as many others running big numbers so I'd say they are pretty well proven (PS: Spelling is crap, I know )

I could also be wrong here. But Nick's welding is really wicked.

Guest Guests Posted 13/02/09 10:23 AM Posted 13/02/09 10:23 AM did simon make the 4 inch exhaust and smb copy it, or did smb make it for simon, and then they started selling to the public direct?
