I think the AWD has died with the Magna, it is certianly not part of the current 380 lineup.

And when Bain mentions FWDs being better through the twisty bits, he may be thinking of small hot hatches, and not big fat sedans. As these are cops when driven enthusiastically .........with torque steer, or wheel spin and smoke as the inside wheel lifts off coming out of a corner.

If you turn the traction control off in a 180kW XR6 it becomes more 'fun' if you do the same thing in a 170kW Maxima it becomes almost undriveable as it smokes up and changes lanes just by accelerating briskly. :spoton:

My first new car was an 1997 GLS Pajero and it made the BA seem built like a swiss watch....and the worse part was Mitsubishi 'we found nothing wrong with your car sir' service.

Whats the point of a 5/10 year warranty when the blokes looking after you are liars and fools? :spoton:

Dags gif is ok I guess...

Just had a mate who works for Mitsubishi get a brand new 380 VRX in black as his personal car.. The car looks pretty decent when compared with the Honda Accord Euro and the Nissan Maxima. I dont think it has been targeted towards those of us who buy Fords and Holdens. Those who buy Toyotas , Nissans and Hondas may get more interested in it.. Would I buy one? If I had to buy a second big six and didnt want another Falcon then maybe, but it would have to be alot cheaper then RRP.

As for price, they are soo outpriced in the market, specially compared to the Magna prices we have seen for the last 18 months. A VRX on the road is about 4 - 5 grand more then a base XR6.. And you get free side airbags...

Im not going wish mitsubishi well on this one though, they had the bucks to develop it yet they were more worried about upgrading the factory to do things like 1 piece side panels etc which consumers dont give a sh*t about, if the VRX was the base model and retailed for the high 30's I reckon they would sell a sh*tload of them, but the ES is a pile of junk that looksl ike the Old model with a fat ass... :spoton:

Well you honour,

All I can say about the release of the '380' and it being the last saving

grace for Mitsubishi Australia is

'you can't polish a turd'

I honestly do hope that they manage to sell enough to keep them in the fight, as I think they are bound to hit the nail on the head and release a cracker of a vehicle, but I do have to agree with a lot of the comments made here on the site, that Mistsubishi will need to enter a V8 into their line up to compete.

Gee, does Mitsubishi even have a V8 in their overseas lineup? Theres no substitute for cubic inches...except for forced induction

A few comments:

1.  I have a friend who is an auto-electrician - he says he wouldnt be in business any more if it wasnt for auto-electricians

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sorry?

So let me get this right here:

You have a friend, who is a auto electrician.

And he wouldnt be in business if it wasnt for auto electricians?

Id say that's a fairly general answer, he wouldnt be in business if there were no auto electricians.

Just like me. I wouldnt eat bread if there were no bakers......

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Ok - that wasnt quite right was it - I mean the auto electrician wouldnt have a job if it wasn't for Mitsubishis - sorry about that.
