for the price of race fuels id just use a bottle of nulon pro-strength instead.. unless your car is something really really special like a sub 10.5 runner.

Hi guys...

2fardown mentioned that Toluene+Nulon Pro Strength should take 98ron fuel to easily above 100 octane, so, what would be the expected possable octane if using those additives in a standard 95ron premium, say such as... Caltex vortex 95?

cheers

Bottle of Octane booster will lift up to 5 octane points on 95ron.

Cheaper to fill with Ultimate then add Toluene if you wanted..

ok F6... ultimate I can do but I gotta travel to get it, about 40k's round trip, what would a good quality octane booster cost me from your average servo/spare parts joint?

Just tryin' to get the best for my baby....

the ONLY booster worth buying is Nulon PRO STRENGTH or Silkolene "Power Booster"

dont bother with those $8 bottles.. their a waste. "you get what you pay for"

I use Nulon Pro Strenght, I buy it by the 4 lt tin, about $95. work out to be about $12 per 500mm, by the 500mm bottle its about $20-22 per bottle, so if you use it abit, its a good saving.

I havnt tried any others but all I have read puts the Nulon on top ever time.

A bit of aread, but worth it.

yes just remember you will most likely fowl your plugs using octane boosters all the time. day in day out it would be best to use tolulene or methenol up to 10%. and just put the octane boost in at the drags or the like.
