Drove the phoon from Brisbane to Byron and back on Saturday. All went well till I got her back to Brisbane and found she had no boost pressure at all. All was well when I left Byron but when I got off the freeway and off cruise control I noticed she had no 'go' in her.

Took her to the shop today to find she has lost 2 of the 4 bolts that secure the turbo the the manifold, and lost the clip off the waste gate actuator arm.

 No one other than Ford dealers have ever touched the turbo itself

Anyone else had these bolts fall out of their T??

If I took it to Ford I would have been  , but I have learned my lesson. I will NEVER have them touch my car again if I can possibly avoid it. They don't deserve my money.

Man that's dangerous hey... bolts shouldnt fall off full stop. Get some spring washers or something to stop it happening again.

I know XR6ISM has had this problem a number of times with his T.

Yeah, ive had problems 3 times in the last 6 months.

Twice I was missing turbo bolts, and once my manifold bolts where loose, along with a missing turbo bolt.

From what I hear, its suposed to be fairly common on these fords.

Spring washers won't do, even those washers with tabs on em don't work.

Get some copper grease. I used that on my last cars turbo/exhaust manifold, works sensationally.

Put some on the end of the bolt, tighten. When the manifold gets hot, it melts the copper in the grease and 'welds' the two together. Still can be undone with tools, but won't vibrate loose..
