PPl with prem brakes, how far can u push the pedal towards the floor when at idle?? I've never noticed before, but the pedal was a little spongey today and it goes to the floor, with a leaking air sound to accompany it..??

I can't remember if this is normal?? anyone??

I just gave it a go with mine ...

mine did hit the floor .. but it got pressure 1/2 - 3/4 and then slowly went to the floor while pressing hard ..

mine work fine all the time .. just came from FPV training day on tues and didnt have any probs slowing down from 200k at the end of the straight..

hope this helps ..

Cheers for that... I think it's normal to gradually go to the floor, but the air whooshing sound I can't remember..

Mate, go and flush them with the highest quality (boiling point) brake fluid you can find. My brand new PBR performance brakes (same as yours) have a rock hard pedal and are not spongy whatsoever.

My brake pedal is solid and does not go anywhere near the floor when I keep applied pressure on it. Also it does not feel spongey whatsoever.

Brake pedal touches the floor on idle only, although it's booked in Tuesday to get looked at coz the grind and judder like the abs is on... This juddering/grinding only happpens when they are warm and being given a bit of a hard time, but by no means flogged....

in short they're #@%*$
