What Kind Of Oil Do You Use In Your Xrt?

It's time for an oil and filter change and I was wondering who uses what, how much was it and why in their modified T? Additionally, does anyone use a differnet oil filter such as K&N?

I did mine recently, I used Penrite HPR10 and a genuine filter....

After I got the filter a mate told me about the FPV filters. Apparently they're pretty good but cost about $30-40

Might look into that next time.

I bought the oil wholesale in a 20L drum, works out to be just under $40 per service including the filter (genuine).

I've used Penrite in all my cars for years and have never had an issue with it.

I use the XR8 oil filters they are the same as the FPV ones about $15.00ea

Oil use Castrol Magnatec 10w-40 I think the XR8 filters filter better.

Standard oil filter, and Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 synthetic oil.

Interesting to see Castrol Magnatec is the most popular so far. Is that just because that is what Ford dealers use?

15w40 LPG oil and AFL1, as specified by FoMoCo.

That way, if my engine lets go, I can't be blamed for running incorrect weight oil.

Im using Fuchs synthetic 5w50 at the moment,but it has now changed to 5w40 so I might change to something else

Probably just because it's cheap!

I use standard Ford filter, with Castrol Formula R 0w-40w Fully Synthetic (not 10w-40w as stated in the poll)
