Why dont u just keep the single spinner and get an LSD conversion done at a diff specialist. Should only cost around $500

could do that I guess. would there be much difference?

I know a guy in a r31 who did a lsd conversion and his diff was always whining and finaly gave way.. back to single spinner. now hes got a lock diff.

If u get it done properly and done by joe schmo then it will work perfectly. If u dont like this idea get a welder and weld the bas*ard. Cheap and easy

Mine's the opposite, it seems like its almost locked-up. Just lightly accelarating around a corner you can hear the inside wheel "skipping" and partially breaking traction. ...don't think it has ever spun just one wheel.

is it just me or should the lsd not skip while cornering.. shouldnt that make it a locked diff or a welded diff, 'coz that's how they behave..

Nah different mate, Lock diff will turn the inside wheel faster than it should and it will pull a the steering, the inside wheel will screech as you make the turn, and it might chatter if there is an uneven surface etc.

The LSD will try to spin the wheel, but then be arrested by the LSD coupling and then try to spin again and the get arrested again etc... it will chatter as the cylce continues. WHen you completely overcook it the two wheels will almost lock and your spining both, usually sideways down the street!
