Traffic Light Windscreen Washers

At first glance the majority of them look to be druggo losers and I wouldn't let them come within 20ft of my XRT but that aside they do seem dedicated. I've seen the same guys doing it for years, some still working at night and weekends and public holidays. At least they are getting off their @rses and doing something and are earning a living (some might be getting the dole as well but that's another story).

So what do you think about them?

I don't mind em, they always seem to be around at the same time I actually need mine done (bug blasted).

I once paid $5 to have my windscreen washed at an intersection. $5 seems alot, but it was a she doing the washing and she had the best.....erm.... eyes :w00t: I'd seen in a while. I felt guilty that I hadnt paid her more :spoton:

They irritate me, luckily in recent times when Ive been near them my windscreen has been clean.

Some of them look pov or ridiculous...

I dont live in the city so I never see them, but I reckon aslong as they dont run up and start washing your windows without your consent I wouldnt mind.

aslong as they see if u want it done first... good on them for getting off their asses!

They had a news atrticle about them in NZ a while ago - and interviewed a couple. One guy was making up to 3 hundred a day, all tax free. - so dont feel too sorry for them!

Most of the guys they showed squirted the cars before asking - and started wiping as they asked - so that people didnt get the chance to refuse. However they were actually ok about people not paying - a lot of people dont even carry cash nowdays.

The ones they showed wernt druggy types though.
