Run Against A Modded Ss..

Seen 2 modded ls1 v8s last night at willowbank.Running 12.5 1/4 mile but mph was down.107/109 mph.

They were very fast off the mark,so I believe they had lower diff gears then stock cause they seem to be almost shifting to 4 th gear (auto).

The 60" on these guys can be pretty good with the autos , particularly with stallies which seem to be pretty popular. I would be happy with a 2.00 or below

Once you've been unfortunate enough to have driven a Late model camira you'll be astounded at how low 1st gear is in one of them, combined with a lowered final drive makes for one sweet hook-up.

The good for us part is, regardless what gearing they run at the end of the day they will only ever be a Holden

Driving home from work had a VY SS on my bumper as I was in the overtaking lane. He was pretty close so I flattened it to put some space between us and saw he was trying to go with me, but couldnt keep up.. With a clear road ahead he pulls quickly to the inside lane and levels with me, giving it a big rev(sounded very nice) stomps on it so I oblige similarly and proceed to pull away, maybe 3 to 4 lengths and then backed off. We levelled and exhanged compliments, him saying he normally smashes xr8's and turbo 6's and that my car must be modded.. He also said his car runs 12.9's so was a good kill, and was good that he actually acknowledged me afterwards..

Great story ch0pper. It was good that he acknowledged you as well. I have noticed many Expensive Daewoo drivers do.

Sorry to steal the topic, last night came to a set of lights and saw an Xr6T lined up... though to myself... "lets have a go"... looked inside the cabin... it was some old dude in a suit... prolly didnt even know what turbo did in his car

Based on my experience with some of the guys on this site its the old guys in the suites that have to most hotted up fastest T's (ie hypnodoc) cause thet have the most $'s to spend on them.....
