New Ford Flash

Hi guys need some desperate help.

Car went in for a ECM light that would flash under hard acceleration. They said that the car needed a reflash.

So that was performed and light still came on.

Turned out the accerator pedal was reading wrong voltage or something so accerator pedal was replaced.

Since the reflash my car has been down 60rwkws.

Does anyone know about this latest reflash program by Ford is it a safety program so no huge power increases can occur?

Timing changes and boost don't help a great deal but air fuel ratios are richer since reflash.

Any help or ideas are appreciated...

Is your car modded? My car with APS Phase 1 went down 40kw when the computer was reflashed. Had to get the unichip completely retuned.

Forget the Re-flash. To fix this, go for the edit, you won't be disappointed. The only thing is that you may want more power.

Car is modified approx 300rwkws now 247rwkws. No explaination. Piggy back computer tune seems perfect.

My T is in for its 30K service next week and I will be telling the dealer not to re-flash, just to be safe.

So far after a little research through some ford dealerships there has been two other with the same problem. And the solution isnt sounding good.

Yeah I have my ute serviced at Knox Ford and they have a message on the screen stating no re flashing of the ecu. I also remind them when I book it in.

I've had the same problem just resolved with the accelerator pedal/assembly replaced. Something about it having faulty potentiometers to do with fly by wire throttle?

Engine check light no longer flashes up constantly like before, but the car is still f*cked. Dealer claims my car arrived from Ford in December with the most up to date software and refuse to reflash it period. Getting sick to death of this f*cking car! Great when it runs but visiting a dealer every week is really giving me the sh*ts.

I'll be running a "Lemon" sticker like Track soon!!!

Do what Ford Australia have told me "PEE OFF and try another dealership"

Is it a lack of power?

If it is I'm wondering if it is a problem with the new update! Our problem might be a solution to their problems of warranty
