Got the SCT Edit installed today in Brisbane by PTE in my new Mk2 XR6T 6 Speed. I am running the 8psi tune at the moment, but will attempt to run the 10psi tune tomorrow. As mentioned before on this site, car is relatively stock, except for K & N Filter. The tunes, as I have been told, have been 'revised' recently, to overcome the early bugs encountered. If car plays up on the 10psi tune, I will probably do mods to overcome this. This is what I can gather so far on the 8psi tune.

1. Car does not feel much quicker below 3000rpm.

2. Car feels a lot more linear above 3000rpm with more urge and induction noise.

3. Car seems to run smoother on cruise control, when travelling down hills (use to jerk around prior).

4. Car definitely feels more powerful running on 98 octane, compared to 95 octane (big difference).

5. Tune was dead easy to install.

Will keep you all posted

Regards Mick.

P.S. If I had to do one exhaust mod only, which would be most beneficial, high flow cat or remove centre muffler (remember, I do not want the car to be loud).

Definately the CAT. A higher flowing cat gives more power. Removing the center muffler give you more noise

The 10 PSI tune requires 98 RON to run correctly. Personally, I never put anything less than 98 RON in the car, even when it was stock.

Well done mate, choose the cat mod, though more expensive it'll produce better results & not be drony.

Im just waiting on a set of injectors and plugs from Eugene, and its off to get the EDIT done. Seriously cant wait.

Ive made up my mind and I am going to go with HPF........ Amberly Auto's in S.E suburbs of Melbourne. From all accounts are a highly reputable and respected tuner of all types of highperformance cars.

Ill let you know how I fair. Should be done sometime next week :spoton::msm::msm::msm:
