They Want May F6 Back!

Met with DynoSteve today (he moded my F6 today ) His dealer delivered his F6 back to him today after the temp cluth fix. Again no mention of any issue of 'holding' the car till a permanent fix is in place.

please explain

What did Steve do and how does it drive now?

Steve fitted the RDP computer and hi-flowed the injectors. How does it drive? Bloody fantastic does not come close to describing it now. 3000rpm and up in 2nd through 6th is amazing. Pulls super hard through to just past 5000rpm where Steve has tapered boost off for gear change and clutch/gearbox/driveline health.

Now has 367.7rwhp Best part is that this is only stage 1 for Steve at RDP!! My F6 is the first he has fitted with the 'trim' control dial. This enables me to turn a dial -all the way to the left for std performance, or all the way to the right for 'fun'. He has wired it up so that I can turn the 'fun' down to standard and remove the trim control dial so no one servicing the car will ever know its been enhansed. Bloody magic. Nest step will be exhaust, but that will come only after the clutch issues are fixed.

Once the clutch issue is finally resolved and I hand in a very second hand GT my dealer has offered me the option of changing into the GT series 2 for good. This is a very interesting option as I will have given the Gt a fair run in the time it takes to get the Phoon back on the road.

Just don't know where some people are coming from in relation to some comments made in this thread. At least FPV are doing something about it. My concern is the delivery date of my vehicle in relation to the knowledge FPV had back in December regarding the clutch.

I would have waited for the fix before buying one, that is my point. My decision to buy one hasn't changed yet. Although a few k's in the Gt may change my mind.

Well, I could see it coming but its finally happened. At 3.30pm this afternoon I received a phone call from FPV saying thay would like to get my car back ASAP. They said the "clutch problem" was causing concern and that only a "temporary" fix was available at the moment..I said WTF??

The guy from FPV said a more permanent solution was in testing and should be available in a month or so   I explained that I should never have had the car delivered to me whilst FPV were aware of the problem back in December. I was told to take it back to the dealer ASAP and that a vehicle would be available for me to drive in the mean time. He said the dealer principle would need to authorise a GT as a loan vehicle and that a BA Falcon of some sort would be available in the mean time while he is on holidays.

Having had the car for only 3 weeks the whole experience has now bwcome a joke. I will be considering my legal options over the weekend before I make a stand on Monday.

Basically, they want me to wait around while my F6 undergoes testing to come up with a clutch/gearbox combination that is suitable for this vehicle. Does anyone else see the problem in their reasoning. If you are a F6 owner I suggest you contact FPV NOW to sort the problem before it gets too late.

Don't get  me wrong, if the fix was available today I would still keep the car. THE ONLY CONDITION I WILL ACCEPT IS A GT LOAN VEHICLE FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE FIX. THEN I WILL TEST THE CAR AND IF I'M NOT 100% HAPPY WITH THE RESULT I WILL BE GIVING THE CAR BACK TO FORD AND SEEING THEM IN COURT.

I ENCOURAGE ALL TYPHOON OWNERS TO DO THE SAME

I REPEAT, FPV DO NOT HAVE A PERMANANT FIX TO THE CLUTCH ISSUE. THIS BS ABOUT THE CIRCLIP TENSION IS NOT THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.

DO IT TODAY!! EVEN IF YOUR VEHICLE DOESN'T SHOW THIS PROBLEM NOW.

Wow. Quite a turnaround. One minute the biggest F6 fan. Telling stories of 'spine tingling' acceleration, 'skids', and preaching the warranty and FPVs acceptance of the clutch issue with such comments as "I am prepared to have any and all problems fixed under warranty without complaint."

The next minute you're threatening legal action for FPV doing just that, warranty work.

You're a joke.

Just confirms that all your dribble about the F6 was just a way to make yourself feel better about your misguided buying decision.

But then, I didn't need it to be confirmed. I already knew it.

I hope you settle your legal action with FPV real quick. Your constant defence of the F6 is pissing me off. And now this...

Do me a favour and get a LIFE. Mate you seriously need help if you think my comments somehow make every other thing I said about the F6 untrue. You seem to live in a fairy land where every word has a mixed meaning.

For the record once the clutch is repaired or fixed it will still be a better car than your datsun or whatever you drive. My whinge is that they deklivered my car knowing there was an iminent recall. No hidden meaning, no other agenda. I'm not saying anything about the F6 that I don't believe.

The only difference with you and the like(you dic&*heads know who you are) is that I actually drive one of these cars. You bag them because you have second best. In a month or whatever, the Phoon will be back on the road and I will have the smile on my face once more.

You, my poor little friend, will still be a miserable fu^k wishing you had something better. How about you join another forum. Maybe somewhere that discusses your car Your agenda is very clear to me and everyone that reads your commernts see your true intentions to undermine the vehicle that realy has nothing to do with you. FPV are doing something good at the moment. I.e. They are finally fixes the clutch in which we all knew there was a problem with. You sound like you're doing a back flip. I would be happy to drive the GT in the mean time whilst waiting for the Typhoon to be returned. You have the best of both worlds.
