Hi Guys,

I’m not looking to start another pissing comp between the Edit and piggy back guys, there are far to many already, what I am interested in is some results, does anyone here have an edit on there T yet?

I was the thread regarding the V8 and it turned to sh*te real fast, so please no my dick is bigger than yours, I’m not looking to buy one, I have a strap on that I am happy with, but I am always interested in seeing the results of something new.

There were a lot of guys here who were waiting, now I am told it is available, has anyone done it yet?

What are your thoughts, etc.

Can you feel the extra torque due to removal of torque truncators etc

Again, please no bagging or sh*t canning, if you haven’t got something constructive to add, please, shut the hell up, I don’t want this to turn into a sh*t fight too. If you want a sh*t fight, start your own thread somewhere else.

Thanks for your understanding, now some results please.

While im at it, this is from the Capa web site.

**Click Here for XR6 Turbo Only**

Ford Flash Tuner

Features

No Wires.

No Cutting of Original Car Wiring Loom.

Total Flexibility in Loading Different Preset Programs.

Return Computer Back to Standard at Any Time.

One Box can be cleared and used on another car for as many as 5 cars, so a $1,297 investment over 3 different cars has to be the most inexpensive tune ever at under $450 per car.

The Ford Flash Tuner really gives you the best of both worlds. A Great tuning product at a great price.

Products

*7.4L Powerstroke Diesel F250 Trucks

*Complete Range of American Vehicles as per SCT Database

Custom Australian / American tunes such as Supercharged/2 bar programs/Camshaft Upgrade will be available upon demand. Charges for program will apply.

The fifth point raises a question, can it be cleared and used on more than one car at a time, or does it mean if you sell your car you can remove the tune and install into the new car (this is my understanding, but would like to know for sure).

Thanks again.

I think it may be still too early to get much feedback. From the likes of the GT at Calder, that car has been part of Herrod's testing of the new unit so I would not consider that as publically available.

I think some guys are waiting on them in the post, others are waiting for their nominated tuners to get the units and get up to speed on them.

Eugene in relation to your comment (QUOTE)I have a strap on that I am happy with  (UNQUOTE) Ken is probably your best avenue in relation to this particular situation.

that sounds great jordak and xrturb,

I know like evrything there will be variables but trying to sift through the sh*te that has been generated is getting to be an effort, so I thought some real results would be good.

JB, I know its early, but ive been told you can have one whenever you pay your dollars, to me that's available, and given the interest early on, I though someone would have done just that.

I regard to the Strap-on, my wife also likes its performance too, she had a quick go on the weekend and thought it was great.

I look foward to seeing what can be done with these in the hands of a good tuner and some decent add ons like exhaust and injectors.

I cant make heads or tails of the capa site, one dyno sheet shows a stock T as 196rwkw

(here: http://www.capa.com.au/xr6_stage1.htm ),

Then the next sheet has noted on it stock as 227rwkw

(Here: http://www.capa.com.au/xr6_stage2.htm ),

so which one is stock, or is the second one "stock" with the exhaust,

was it a manual, or auto?

this isnt a go at Capa, just trying to work out whats what, and what car had what bits to get what result. (that's was alot of whats)

Martin, can you help, I have a head ache thinking about it.

Steve would that be because of the Exhaust?

Does seem weird.

I am not bagging the product like Eugene I am too curious, and looking for as much info as possible.

Street Tuner can you give us some further information on why the stage 2 goes with an exhaust before anything else?

Being that the injectors and or valve springs in some circumstances are the first two main restrictions from experience, it seems odd that the initial step is the exhaust?

I was under the belief whilst under much strain the factory exhaust was not that bad and could take up to around 280rwkw as is?

I would have thought that even though the edit is based on the factory PCM you would still have to go down a similar path as the piggybacks (or strap ons for the more kinkier :msm: ) when you start to get serious about modding I.e you would have the unit, then injectors, possibly valvesprings, 2nd CAI then the exhaust once you started heading to the 300rwkw mark. Or is this all part of the benefit of running the edit against the piggyback units, is you do now not have to go down the injector path?

Your further information would be appreciated. :msm:
