Before you all mention using water! - Whats your method to wash your car?

do u use a pressure washer?

or bucket and sponge?

whats your personal way of doing it?

rinse, soap, rinse, wax etc etc

any spray ons used like a spray on wax ive heard about?

how long does it take you?

basically how do you keep your paint brand new?

I use Maguires Canauba Wax,

smells great like bananas,

very easy to use,(wax on wax off),

can use it as often as you like, but I use it about every 2 months,

I usually wash my car with plain water,

only if its very dirty (mud) I use a special canauba wax based car wash (no brand as my mate is a detailer and gets it in bulk),

I always chamois every crack & nookie (inside doors, under bonnet etc)

Finally a quick spray around the tryes with Armorall Tyre Foam,

Its cheap its easy and looks good!

All pretty basic stuff really

cheers B.B. :spoton:

We've still got water restrictions in Vic (the dams always half empty, never half full!!)

Car Lovers - but dont use their brush, use a soapy chamois, and then a different chamois to dry off.

Enjo car cleaning mit (no detergent required) and a reputable brand wax, such as Meguairs or Turtle.

I remember reading a Mercedes Benz owners manual that said to never use detergent on the metallic duco - just plain water and a lambswool mit.

Sometimes I use a car cover when sitting in the sun all day.

I ues Meguairs Soft gel wash smell's like bubble gum.I ues carlovers aswell being from vic but DONT ues the brush as I am a spraypainter by trade and I know what they do to your paint.Plus you see young kids useing them to paint the wall's of the wash bay with mud that some  has left all over the place after washing he's 4WD :gooff:As for polishing I do that myself Meguairs product's again.

I wash my car with Maguires wash and wax soft gel using two different sponges. One for the car and one for the wheels. Brake dust is very abrasive to paint work and you don't want it getting into your sponge that you clean the car with.

As for polishing/waxing I pay a detailer to polish and wax my car every three months or so because he does an excellent job and cheep too.

Internal parts of the car I use baby oil because it doesn't dry the dash out like Armour-all does.

On the tyres I use Maguires gloss tyre shine because it's the best I can find and doesn't flake off like alot of other painted on products do.
