Cd Player

I work for the Queensland Police Service, and noticed when I was at work last night that an email was sent to the whole service about the new VY Late model camira and BA Falcons radio and CD Player. Apparently, when you put a cheap copy or a burnt cd from a home computer it won't let you play it, apparently it won't let you eject the cd. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory? I'm not sure if this is just a scare tactic to stop officers from putting in a burnt cd.

I'm hoping that this is not true as I often use burnt cds in my car!!!!!

Yes it will play cd copies. However i have noticed that some cds jump if they are cheapy ones. And no problem with the ejecting of them either.

Same as above. It works fine for me.

I have some rare CD's that you can only get as imports and it usually takes a few weeks to hunt them down, therefore I have a lot of burnt copies for several albums,

Yes, there is no problem playing burnt CD's.

I've found that when you make a cd backup if you burn it at a slower speed you shouldn't have any problems with play back.

It is false burnt cd's do work and there isn't a problem.

However burnt rewritables and cheap qualty disc's are a problem as I have tryed them in both models AU & BA try to buy disc's that can be burnt for audio only not data, As all the one's I've burnt haven't given me a problem.

I had the same worry so took along a burnt copy of various Ozzy Osbourne tracks and asked the dealer if I could try it out to allay my concern. Of course being an Qzzy fan I turned the volume up!! Should have seen the heads pop up when 'Facing Hell' bellowed through the showroom :thumbsup:

Yeah... they play fine!!!!

Re-writables may be a problem but.

Every Cd in my BA is a home burnt backup of my original CD's or a mix of songs from mp3's. No dramas at all.

Damn I wish Ford had the foresight to make 'em be able to play mp3's.
