Boof Lives on in Memory

Well finally after the much surprised departure of 'Boof', Geea has kindly donated the organs of Boof to live on in memory to another T. After different testing and a full day of surgery we have re-born the organs of Boof in a worthy recipient that has been aptly named 'PHOENIX' - The Bird that Rises from the ashes.

In Boof's memory I am please to announce that Phoenix has come through the surgery well, with only a couple of complications. We were really hoping for a similar result in rwkw to Boof which was 280rwkw. However due to the dreaded valve spring problem Phoenix has not fully accepted the organ transplants true ability. However this can and will be rectified in weeks to come, but non the less we have had an outstanding first time round surgical procedure.

The results are as follows

Standard - 205rwkw

Final Result 260.5rwkw

Shootout 6 mode

Chip, injectors & Fuel Pump. (Manual)

Exhaust still to go on.

At this stage I am extremely happy, but will follow on and rectify what was a very bad and tempremental valve spring problem. We will still aim to get back to 280rwkw. Phoenix is more drivable then ever, with much more throttle response, smoother delivery of power and overall a fantastic car to drive. Unfortunately the melbourne weather kicked in this afternoon when Phoenix was to be collected, so I cannot tell you the total capability as I could not find any traction whatsoever.

Phoenix will be down at Calder this Friday night with Rumble to see how he goes down the Qtr.

I would really like to thank Geea for all his help, support and advice and more importantly letting me take a part of Boof and making this all come to fruition.

Ontop of that I would also like to thank Mark from Dynomotive who worked on Phoenix and will continue to do so until we find his optimum level. :spoton: Look forward to getting the valve spring issue out the way mate.

I will post Phoenix's Dyno graph when I can get the bloody scanner to work, but here are a couple of photo's towards the end of the procedure.

Cheers

JB.

It was a pleasure JB. :spoton:

The only problem you're going to have is the urge for more power. :glad: Now that you got more you'll always being looking at different options to get a little bit extra. Its like a drug and theres no rehab that I know of. :ermm:

Enjoy JB and hopefully on Friday you can add Phoenix to the 12 second club. It won't be easy in the manual, but I reckon you'll give it a good shake.

well done JB :spoton: how is the driveline coping with it?? is still as clunky as ever or did the upgrade help smooth the flaws in the delivery and hence reduce shunt/clunk?

:spoton: Going into comedy are we Jetute!

Mate delivery of power is alot more responsive, strong and smooth but unfortunately all the usual probs still remain. I suppose it does not matter anyway as I was not expecting it to change the problems in anyway.

Hey congrats JB welcome to life in the fast lane. Get those valve springs and exhaust done and 280 shouldn't be a problem. :spoton:

Thanks Macca, White Lightening = WWD! :spoton: I will give you a call about the valve springs if that's ok.

Thanks Adam, hope to see you back on the road shortly. Don't like to see a fellow WW member off the road.

Thanks Dean, I think it maybe time for a Vic Meetup, there are a few quick T's in melb now.

Would this now classify us as the fastest state? :glad:

Geea.

Mate not neccessarily individual cars, but more like a group perspective based on average power output. I.e we probably have a dozen or so modded T's in Vic that average around 300rwkw as an example.

I would say Vic has the most amount of modded T's on the road :kissmy: Hence I believe we should be noted as the dominant state. :spit:
