Is there any reason why all this wont work in a Territory Ghia as well? From what I can tell, they have the same ICC as a Premium sound BA XR ICC.....

Another plug you can use is an Aerpro one for the factory Toyota deck. I used that in mine, and it comes with another plug so you can get more pins out if need be. Cost me $15

Edit - Aaron have you made this 12v powersupply for the xbox or is it just an idea? If you've made it, any chance of getting the schematics for it? :D

*nods* knew about the Toyota plug - just never tracked one down in store in the ACT...

I've got schematics for one version of the supply (direct power xbox from 12v) that I can send you a PDF of, also got most of the switching chips for it (in fact got duplicates)... I'm changing my path slightly and it's all suplus. to requirement. The chips are hard to get here and not cheap....

geea - I'll drop you a PM

ms700, it'd be the same - I'd guess the Nav system option in both is identical :)

THis should cost no more than 15 dollars to make up

*nods* It works perfectly if you can get your VGA output down to the correct refresh rates. This is quite hard these days.... the NTSC Horizontal scan speed is the limiting factor.

You'll know this by the fact that you'll get an image that is horizontally stable, but low quality (raster lines or scan lines) and mirrored side-by-side a couple and a bit times (depending on the h-sync frequency)

Warning - If you drive that signal input too long you will probably pop something in the ICC driver circuits, so test it, then disable the input, make changes on PC, then enable.

NEVER just leave an inappropriate input running. Also be very careful about voltage isolation, ie don't short power to an input line. I know basic stuff but when you're talking about a $3K ICC that's not designed to support experimentation......

Yeah I'm interested in the pdf. That would be great. Could you email it to blazovic@netspace.net.au ? Thanks

I'm not a big fan of running an inverter either. I'd much rather build up some sort of powersupply for it.

If anyone is interested I have a couple of photo's of the plugs you need to look for.

This one is under the tissue holder box and unclips when you pull toward you and down.

And this is a picture of the type of plug you need to connect to the SAT nav connector. (IT is the plug I am holding to the far right (white one)).

Also if anyone needs a guide on how to get the plug, I have a heap of pictures while I was doing it, just drop me a PM if you want any.
