Where's all the times guys? :spit:

Jeff , I will let the other chaps post up their own .

Struggled with traction a bit but pulled a 12.701 for a PB.

Ran 12.8/9 consistently. MPH was solid at 114/115 mph so 60' needs some more work

Still need to go for a night run in the cooler air, with some decent tread and there is a 12.5 up for grabs :crybaby:

Julian

Hi Julian,

great time mate :spit: .

Did you get chance to settle the score with Peter ( PDV 666 ) ??

I am waiting for the rest of the times to see how my 13.6 compares..

Cheers

PSI

Highlight for me was watching and hearing the funny car run 7 seconds

I was in the tunnel when it laid its rubber down. I've never felt my bones rattle before. Scary :crybaby:

Best time for me was a 13.3 (street trim)... not too bad considering the air temp. I think I might be able to shed a further 1-2 10ths if the conditions were right.

My previos best was a 13.3 under good, cold, night conditions.

Well done Dunc for setting up the event and pulling a PB of 13.1... I hear 12s calling...

I had an extremely enjoyable day yesterday, the first time I’ve ever done the ¼.

The best I could do was 13.1 on the day on street tyres, ambient temp 22 degrees.

It was great running against Julian, whose Stage 2 auto car goes very well, and Jules is very consistent in running 12.8’s.

I found that every time I changed gears I lost 1-2 car lengths against the auto, and with my new gearing I have 4 gear changes, the last into 5th at around 360 meters, which did me no favours.

I dare say that the previous T56 box & diff ratios would be quicker over the 1/4, as I would pull 180 in 4th vs my current 160 in 4th. I’ll soon have my rev limit upped to 7500, so it’ll be different then. I lost count of the number of times I hit the rev limiter.

I could not launch my car hard enough, and it did take awhile to work out how to launch more consistently.

Let’s not start an auto vs manual argument, as there are certainly far more talented manual drivers around.

It was a lot of fun, and certainly addictive, and I’ll be back for more and will be quicker.

Duncan did a great job organizing the day.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks Brian, very different story on private roads however

Would have been the only time I have ever pulled away from your beast , so I will take the points on offer. :ermm:

I have no doubt that 12s are not far away :spoton: , dont think there are many manual Ts that can claim that :ermm:

It was a great day, you could basically have as many runs as you liked. The only Ford guy I met was ducatijb I think. Certainly takes lots of practice to get consistent!!

For those interested I took footage of some of the runs.

Brians run was the most interesting out of the XR6Ts. It must be fun to drive a T manual as it seemed very quick out of the blocks.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to compress it further. It's about 5.5M. It's not streamed, so best to download to your PC before playing back (right click the link and select 'Save Target As...').

My beloved ran like a POS all day and the best I managed was 12.9 at 110mph :glad:

DrewBytes...whilst I am no commie lover, you have one of the better ones, a very nice blown red SS wagon with a sh!tload of grunt :smilielol:

Brian with a few more practises I am sure you will knock off Street Tuna as the quickest manual in Oz...ain't as easy as it looks drag racing and in a BA manual you really are up against it... :pinch:
