hsv gts coupe will become an all time classic if it is not already.

I will agree with this in the fact that there wasnt all that many of them built, and when you look at some other holdens that were "different" and how much thier resale value has held, ie walkinshaw, vn grp a, vk grp a brock etc, thy were all different and they've held thier resale value, the vs gts-r is in the group too even though its not all that old yet...

these cars were alot different to the standard ones in thier time, and they were just great performers and they had the edge above the rest...

VL Walkinshaw had the unique bodykit and the power to show off also, and the VS GTS-R was the first of the holdens to get the 6spd tranny and the first with the LS1

I think that in10 years, the GTS will be on of the most sought after cars for Expensive Daewoo lovers/collectors

According to the numbers supplied by Motor magazine, and just for comparison showing a slightly modified T:

Stock T...0-100km/hr: 5.91s

HSV GTS...0-100km/hr: 5.29s

APS Phase I T...0-100km/hr: 5.20s

Stock T...0-400m: 14.14s

HSV GTS...0-400m: 13.55s

APS Phase I T...0-400m: 13.30s

Stock T...RRP: $45,085

HSV GTS...RRP: $98,500

APS Phase I T...RRP: $47,681

So, you could have 2 better-performing in a straight line APS Phase I T's (his and hers) for the price of 1 HSV GTS.

Given neither driver has a weight disadvantage or dusty launch technique, on paper the HSV GTS would outperform a Stock T. If you even check 0-60km/hr figures, that would be the case too as I recall, because that "Expensive Daewoo Special" Motor issue earlier this year compared HSV GTS with an M3 and AMG 55 and showed a range of acceleration figures.

The HSV coupe GTS (whatever) is a quicker car in stock form. It's driver was probably hopeless and more than likely just got bogged down. But, for only a few thousand the T will be best friends with skyline GTR's In the end who cares.. If I had $90k to burn, I'd get an imported R34 Skyline GTR myself.
