Mine, too, spikes up to about 8-9psi when I plant the foot so I think that may be normal. I was a bit miffed about the needle sitting at about 7 when cruising on light throttle so I called Gauge Works. They told me this was normal and they had decided not to put a stop at -10 to protect the mechanism. So be it. Like you I think it's cool.I'm not sure about the rattle. Mine doesn't have that, but it might be worth a call to Gauge Works if someone else doesn't come up with answer. Their details are in the original thread where you ordered your gauge.

It is possible the mechnisim has a problem, but I would check the obvious first.

Works just as I expected it to, plus it blends in perfectly on top of the ICC. I parked next to a sweet looking Blueprint XR6T last night in the city (I think it was bcl's big blue beast actually) and noticed two gauges in that spot on the dash. IMHO, my gauge install looks so much cleaner than those. But it still looks very kewl regardless... Big thanks to PhantomXR6 and Trumpy (the Master Gauge Installer)! Bring on this Sunday's cruise....

Check all conections if it still does it, which mine did, call Luke and he will send you another one. Mine was quite bad, would make a loud flickering noise when it came on boost and then would flicker again on full boost.Got another Guage, fixed straight away.Luke has been great about it all.Good Luck

If you do a search for "Boost Gauge" you'll find plenty of info and pics of the various gauges available.However, here is a pic of the Gauge Works version which is being talked about in this thread. It's not my pic, I've picked it up from one of those other threads you'll find in the search.
