  1. No worries will do... Instead of molesting the rear speaker wires for the amp input, can I use the wires from the stock amp?
  2. These are the only falcon size wheels I like on tempetyres: and but those last ones aren't really black... love these, but I'm guessing they're expensive:
  3. I have no idea what a staggered set of 19's is! I had a look at that website... will check it out again and post what I like...
  4. Hey everyone, I used to be a car audio nut about 5 yrs ago, but can't remember a damn thing now! Can I run a 4ch amp, basically running at three channels? So bridging 2 channels into one for the sub, and then have the other 2 channels running the fronts?
  5. Ohhh... yeah, I know the 5x114.3 thing... Both those wheels are 5x114.3...
  6. Hmmm I haven't gotten to that point yet... More just thinking about the overall style of the wheel. What range of offsets should I be looking for? about +35?
  7. Came across these too: 20"....
  8. awesome. thanks for the replies... I haven't really seen many red t's going the 'understated' way with mods, so that's what I'm hoping to do. I know what Grudgee is getting at though... Maybe I should get some with more meat to them, coz I've only got stock brakes...
  9. Thinking of getting these on my red turbo. Going to have super super low rear and super low front. Wanted to get your guys thoughts on whether the black will go with the red paint. Will eventually go for the sleeper look. Dark tinted window, no spoiler (or lip spoiler), no badges apart from turbo on the sideskirts (where the xr6 badge is) and boot...
  10. Thanks mate. I'll look into getting one sent from somewhere. Can't wait.
  11. ] Thanks guys for the info. Which site sponsors are from brisbane/sunshine coast on this site? I tried looking but couldn't make out which was which.. Is there a geographical listing anywhere??
  12. Thanks, I didn't see that thread in my searches. Sorry mate. Just a q though, what if I don't have a tuner at this stage and only want to run the 10psi default tune? Do I send the tuner to Capa and then wait? How much does that cost?
  13. Hey guys There's a few Capa flash tuners for sale around the place, and I'm just wondering, is it easy to get CAPA to reset the box after you've bought it? Also, what if the box was originally used for another type of car, like a typhoon, or xr8... will capa reset the box to suit your car? what cost is involved in doing this, and can it all be done remotely, or do you have to send it off to capa? Cheers guys
  14. Gotta love New Order!
  15. Man I had no idea you could get so much power out of these babies... and I've been driving around stock for 2 years. I need an edit!
  16. Well today, I took off the crossover and piping, checked out my turbo, and it looks fine. Fins are fine, spins freely, and there's no major give in any direction, so I'm glad with that. I noticed a few bolts on my manifold were loose, so tightened all those the best I could (my wrench sh*t itself) and took the little bar that goes from the manifold (up near the 4th/5th cylinder) to the dump pipe, cleaned out the hose that goes from the crossover to the turbo (full of gunk on the inside walls), cleaned some oil out of the turbo opening, and it seems to be running a lot better! I also took of the little monza air filter I had on my bov, which seemed to have something rattling inside it, and yeah... seems to be running a lot better now. Will have to wait and see how it sounds tomorrow morning in the cold, but yeah, hopefully its all good. Thanks for the help guys. Very much appreciated. From what I could hear the fluttering seems to have disappeard
  17. Just in addition, was speaking to my boss last night, and we may be able to offer FordXR6Turbo members discounts if I can get a whole bunch of interest. So let me know if your interested. So far I've had 3-4 expressions of interest, and I'm in the process of obtaining quotes from specialist insurers for them. But let me know if you're interested.
  18. I have tried getting it on the rails... with all my might... Can't get the bloody thing on. Guess I was wondering whether anyone else had been able to fix it themselves... Only want to go to Fraud as a last resort!
  19. Hey everyone... not sure if this is a common occurance, couldn't find anything via search. But my Sunroof (standard issue) is noisey as hell over bumps, and the cover itself, that moves back and forward is loose (can't seem to get it back on the tracks) and it won't actually shut all the way. What can I do? Anyone had any experience with fixing this sort of problem? Cheers guys
  20. Hmmm well I've noticed today that it does seem to go away after driving around for a while. My normal use is 5-10 min trips to and from work every day and that's it. Yesterday and today I drove around for longer than this, and it didn't seem to flutter as much, if at all, under load.
  21. Will do.. First thing I'm going to check are the turbo fins and whether there is any play... that's what I'm scared of.
  22. Thanks I'll take off all the tubes and have a good look on the weekend. Thanks again mate. Much appreciated
  23. No worries will do. Where on the turbo are they? on the bottom or side? Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.
  24. Why don't you just get a flash tuner off ebay and run one of the prepackaged tunes? I've seen flash tuners on ebay going for about $350-$500. And get your injectors seperately too. Will be cheaper than $1100-1300 for sure
  25. Thanks mate... Fuel up here is quite good I would think. I've been using 98RON for a few weeks now, so you'd think all the sh*t stuff has been used up. Plus I've got a new fuel filter on. I heard it while driving this morning, and its definitely a fluttering noise while under load. Could it be my stock BOV stuffed? Its definitely a soft fluttering, not a loud ticking. Got me stumped. Think I might buy a set of proper sparkies and some new coils. See how that goes.
