I am researching before I install a trans cooler. The common place seems to be behind the right hand fog light area. A lot of comments are about heat, my air intake for the motor sits on the other side of this guard. Seems pretty obvious that if the guard is hotter the intake box is hotter. I know I will get the typical "thousands of people with bigger power than you have done it " responses. But plenty of people were doing mods years ago that they wouldn't do now. Has anyone done any testing on the intake box temperature with and with out the trans cooler?

I upgraded my Fg rear brakes to Territory over easter. Using T3 discs, QFM pads front and back and braided lines all around. It has made a very noticeable difference. Pulls up about 15 metres shorter from a 100ks, but very noticeable at normal town driving. People say " spend the money on the front" as it does more work. But before you do take a look at the rear set up. Smaller disc, not vented, not grooved, far smaller pads and calipers. Yes does less work and was designed to do less. Upgrade the front and leave the factory rear and you will be putting more strain on the already undersize rears. When the front discs need replacing I will be putting T3 on the front.

I'm looking to buy a PW stepped intercooler. Anyone know who is selling them at a good price? Might need the piping as well, I was going ANTZ but I am not keen on the name printed on them and the all black ones have had the name "shaved off"

Hi I am fitting a PW stepped intercooler to my FG Xr6T. I was wondering if anyone her has used Intunes piping kit. If the fit and Quality are ok?

What size hole do I need to drill?

I was just reading a thread on one of the better fb groups about someone wanting to fit a bigger pump, there are some comments that you need the car tuned because of higher fuel rail pressure, what do the experts here think ?

I only want to use 98 and sometimes BP Ultimate. 320 rwkw is about all I want. I know a surge tank is a better option for people looking for more rwkw. I just didn't want to buy this if its no better than just the walbro pump, which is half the price.

Darwin is 1000k from me but the closest tuners. So this thread is still relevant to a lot of people.

Has any one here fitted one of theses fuel assemblies. ( I don't care what to) I was going to fit the Walbro GS341 kit ( 255ltr/hr ) But if this is any good I would pay the extra. Wow like you don't ask that all the time, like it would make any difference, in this case and most of the time. Same principle, but you never miss a chance do you. Mate same principle even on a old car, just some people want to sound superior and ask "what car" like your stupid.

If I had been looking for a stupid childish answer, yes you would have won. But if that was what I had wanted, I would have posted on one of the FB forums.

Can anyone tell me what the shifter / selector knob on a FG XR6T is made of? We have a bet if its plastic or aluminum and Leather.

Is the fg XR6 TURBO the same as the earlier models?

Thanks guys, it's may a mil or 2 sideways movement. But I did not know if it was allowed any movement at all. I am driving her to Alice springs next weekend 500k each way, the speed limit here is 130 kph and the highway patrol don't bother anyone doing 139 kph so it's pretty much cruise control for 3 and a half hours.

Hi I have been fitting a box over my pod air cleaner this afternoon, and while I had the 3" hose of the turbo I spun the turbo, spins fine, but I noticed it has some play in it. It's not making any noise, I was wondering how much play is normal if any and if it's not, do they run long after showing wear? She has done about 145000 km.

I have damage to the XR6 badges on the rear doors and want to replace them. Any ideas on the best way to get the old ones off with out damaging the doors. I was thinking heat and a flat scrapper, but is there a better way?

So I take it that no one has tried the ebay cooler?

The guy is looking at a budget cooler if he had over $2000 to spend, he would not be asking if any one has tried these. Why every time some one asks about a budget item people who want to blow thousands on a part tell them to do what they did. Yes we all know you can spent $20,000 on a BA that will be worth $5000, some of us just want to buy a cheap option, not as good as plazma, but a improvement

Wow so Ford had spare plastic they needed to get rid off I am amazed ford had so much plastic they put in pieces just to get rid of it
