  1. The aftermarket alarm has been in there since the 20th of March. I also have a turbo timer/boost gauge in one unit fitted and also satellite navigation. I got the auto electrician who is my brother to disconnect everything and still no solution. The car was running fine and it just happened out of no- where. The turbo timer/boost gauge as a matter of fact is fitted in my Ford service managers car and he hasn't had a problem. The navigation was installed under VDO instructions with only 1 wire that had to be tapped into the kick panel on the passenger side. The alarm was also fitted with specific instructions. I know you are all saying that it could be my brother but he specialises in satellite navigation, quicktrak, alarms, stereo's etc. As a matter of fact he installs all of the above for Ford,Toyota,Subaru,BMW dealers in the Sydney area and is up to date with all new technology. 2. I am not impressed at this very moment!... Friday afternoon/evening I came to start my car and no go! There was just red lights on the dash, the stereo say's CODE and the carpark I was in was about to close. I rang Ford roadside, they tell me try the spare key. Nope, no go. They tell me try the factory remote since I told them I had an aftermarket alarm. Nope no go. I also tried some other procedure, but no go. They told me to get it towed to a Ford dealer. Very nice since it has only 1600kms. So I towed it to Thomson Ford the next day since the carpark had to close and the guys there are great. But unfortunately their inhouse electrician was off and back on Monday. They plugged the computer in and said it is spitting out too many codes that we dont understand and it has to stay here until then. I am not a very happy Ford man at the moment and the car on the back of a tilt-tray at 1600kms didn't help my anger and look good for Ford. I wonder whats next?

I lowered my XR6T ute 50mm all around. The kit was from King springs front and back. The ride quality is the same except it handles better. $550 fully installed with a wheel alignment.

I see everyone is a little upset!... I own a imported Subaru Legacy wagon. (Liberty B4) 2001 model. Which the wife drives everyday. Its not standard, it has an aftermarket computer,HKS airfilter and airflow meter, Jasma stainless exhaust system, Bilstein suspension, 18 inch wheels etc etc. When I come home from work, the wife will make up any excuse to drive my 2003 XR6T ute. As a matter of fact she is driving it now. But to answer some curiosity, the wagon is quicker than the ute. But it is modified to 260kw and weighs only1500kgs compared to the ute at 1730kgs. I used to own a WRX previously and I would never turn back to one. The Legacy is a completely different car and I love the best of having both worlds.

SORRY GUY's my mistake!... I must have misunderstood the conversation. How long have you had your ute and have you done anything to it?

  9. I ordered my ute on the 3rd of January,2003, and received it 18th March,2003. I heard there is a delay at the moment due to the runout of a specific part which unfortunately holds all the vehicles at FPV. This problem might be rectified by now as it wasn't major, but it's worth the wait.

Thanks HORNXR. At the moment it has the factory 18's, dark tinted windows, lowered 2 inches all round and more to come when I get some time. Also a hardcover in the same color as the ute, but FORD had failed to deliver it when I picked it up and still waiting even that it is fully paid for.
  11. My XR6T at the moment with 1250kms. is only reaching 18L/100kms. I reckon its a little too much if you ask me, where my wifes modified subaru twin turbo wagon has better fuel economy and power.

If your car can run 12.07 1/4 mile etc. How much horsepower do you have at the wheels? Is your gearbox in one piece? And how many times a day do you have your hand on it? Prove it or keep quite.
