Give Fog Lights The Flick In Broad Daylight
OK - two points here ... Firstly it is NOT illegal to have exhaust tips pointing down. Secondly (sorry Sly) just because a car leaves the factory in a certain way DOES NOT DEEM IT TO COMPLY. It certainly can be defected. One very pertinent and recent case comes to mind - the BA daytime running lights that were fitted below the bumpers on Fairmonts. Tab> Didn't you read my post ??? I don't know why you had to ask your question ... you know I'm never wrong. YES, STIRICTLY SPEAKING AND BY THE LETTER OF THE LAW IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE YOUR CAR WITH FOG LIGHTS ON IN CLEAR CONDITIONS, DAY OR NIGHT.

Premium And Custom Plates Nsw
It was introduced at the same time as the cost of ordering personalised plates was dropped. It's purely a deceptive measure by the money hungry NSW government to rip off people even further. The perception is that the plates are now cheaper (to order) and therefore more people are enticed to order them. A lot of the younger/new purchasers don't know that there wasn't previously an annual fee on this style of plate. So they are sucked in quite simply and then have to fork out the $100 or whatever each and every year thereafter in order to keep their plates. Just pure government greed and deception at work.

Give Fog Lights The Flick In Broad Daylight
Don't worry about them mate - just put the right foot a bit closer to the floor and they seem to get smaller in a short space of time. Then fade and disappear alltogether. Disclaimer. The above post is said entirely in jest and is in no way meant to imply to any person that they are either physically, morally or legally able, allowed or entitled to outrun the police.

Warming Your Car Up In The Morning
Well Julian Edgar can do it his way and I'll do it mine. Ask him how many cars he's owned that have covered half a million kilometers? Then ask him how many motors he's pulled down and rebuilt. I agree that in principal modern motors don't require a long warm up period. However the engine components are designed around specific operating clearances that occur at specific temperatures. If you operate outside these basic parameters you will increase the wear on the components. The degree to which this occurs will be directly related to the load and revs you put on the components before they reach their optimum temperatures. Just 1 to 2 minutes of warm up will increase the longevitity immensely. A good indicator is to not put load on the engine until the temp gauge has just moved off it's stop.

Nsw Christmas Cruise
Work permitting count me IN ... oh, and Therese. Had a brother-in-law lived at Hampton - know the roads around Oberon/Jenolan Caves pretty good but funnily enough have never had the T3 on them so it'll be a good chance to compare it with the wagon that I used to travel those roads in quite regularly years ago ... 8:30 am huh? Bugger, another "before sunrise" start for me then ...

Performance Down Wth More Power?
For that level of power you certainly don't have any top end do you? I'd say there's a boost leak somewhere or an actuator problem. Your time and speed at half track seem OK.

Snowy Mountains All States Joint Cruise
Sounds like us....was there a clapped out old AU holding everyone up? ← Yep, that'd be the one ... Brian couldn't find sixth gear while he was driving ... I forgot to tell him my sixth has the number '5' on it. LOL.

shoving BA DOHC+turbo into AUs
Out buying a helmet for the snowy cruise. ← Actually I was out shopping for a backhoe - need to dig a deep hole somewhere in my 120 acre backyard. The BA motor into AU has been done and done ... just need a cable actuated throttle body and the AU ECU controls it nicely. Of course any aftermarket ECU would do the job if you just use the right sensors where required. But you won't get the dual VCT working with the AU ECU I believe - not as yet anyway. Maybe there is a way if the EDIT is used - there was a thread on this at AFF very recently but I don't remember all that was said. and HEY ... if the AU is so fugly how come every major manufacturer has picked up on it and have copied most of it onto their current offerings??? It was only ugly because it was ahead of it's time - slow-minded and slow-driving Aussie journalists just couldn't cope with such advancement in an Aussie designed and built motor car - and they went on to brainwash the great unwashed followers called the Aussie car-buying motor-mag-reading public. I often wonder what accolades they'd have bestowed on it had say BMW or MB built it?

Tyres
Mate that is serious tyre usage! Have you ever thought of steel radials? NO, not steel-belted, just plain STEEL. They might last you a bit longer. PS Although now I think back on it ... when I first did my turbo on the ZL I chewed the rears in just 5000km ... my explanation to the treasurer at the time was I could only tune it "on the road" as the nearest dyno was 150km away. It didn't take her long to point out that the 150km drive would have cost a lot less in fuel then the tyres LOL.

Snowy Mountains All States Joint Cruise
Hey ... !!! ... watch it mate ... !!! ... old barge indeed, no way to talk about the AU. Oh, you mean me? ... that's allright then.

Snowy Mountains All States Joint Cruise
Just arrived home - a tad under 1000km for the day - driving from 6:30am to 10pm. Great day, great roads, great people, great cars. Brian's car is beyond description. Thanks Ivan for the great organisation. Sorry guys the vid was a waste of time - looks barely OK on the big screen but just too many obstructions in the way to get clear vision of the cars.

Wanted: One Wife
Nope...Sisters, the one on the right is 18 and the one on the left is 22. (Trouble is, she's a bloody solicitor!)Lumpy ← Ah yes, now that you mention it ... I recognize them now. Last time I saw them they were both soliciting ... outside the rissole on a Saturday night. At the time I thought "nice pair" (in fact they both have a nice pair) and my thoughts then turned to "how can I convince the wife we need a pair of au pair girls"???. I'm still working on it ...

Evolution Of Man
I would have been the women that figured that one out. They remember everything ← So are you saying you were a woman ... like, in a previous life or something??? And I presume you did mean to use the singular as I don't know how you could claim to have been more than one ... but then again ...
