I agree with everything you have just said. the interior of vy's are terrible and cheap looking. Fords do look alot more simple and classy

I think if your mate can get traction he will run closer to a 13.2 or 13.3 @ 105mph. from some of my pesonal experience's I think 105mph should be good for a high 12 sec pass. Good luck with it anyway

if I'm not mistaken if your in the car you describe in your sig I highly doubt any good street car would be able to beat you

this sounds like the words of someone who has "foot in mouth syndrome" I've driven an xr6t and a cv8 loved them both but off the line the xr6 did not feel as quick as the cv8. As the saying goes "there's no replacement for displacement" whats wrong, can't you handle hearing someone else's opinion??

will be very interseting to see how the BF XR8 compares to the VZ SS 6.0 wonder when ford will decide to power up the BOSS motors...

I never said holdens drove better than fords I said holdens own them as this thread is refering to quarter mile / drags

don't get me wrong xr6t's are tuff but l think LS1/LS2 own them

tend to agree with some ofthe above posts. in gear acceleration xr6t will eat pretty much anything standing start acceleration the SS will always pip the xr6t (whether ute or sedan) as stated I think the only reason is due to weight though

I read the article about the xr8 vs ssz, the reason the xr8 was quicker was becasue the SSZ test vehicle had problems with the traction control. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think Holden / hsvs (production) will spank all fords / fpvs (production) in a straight line. I think ford have said before they are not concerned about straight line speed but place more emphasis on an overall package, which all the journos always stress in their articles/reviews. I would like to see a ford actually be quicker in a straight line just for once. As for the r8 vs GT, .4 of a second down the quarter mile.... that's all I have to say

Manufactuers claims can be a little off at times I think when the 6.0 litre clubsport was new Expensive Daewoo claimed it would accelrate from 0-100 in under 5 seconds, 5.1 is still pretty close I guess. may have to wait for the forum members or motor/wheels magazine journo's to give them hell and see what the result is. I don't think it will do a 0-100 time that will make you go whoa!! but in gear acceleration would be unreal. F6 is a torque monster.
