Well I have finally made it back home after a little break and had some mods done to the TTG. Very Happy with the result. I went from 162 awkw to 234 awkw with zort bung removal, K&N filter, injectors, edit and custom tune at CV Performance. The thing really gets down and pulls hard now. If you stall it up and let it launch it is just incredible! On a cruise it now gets below 12l/100 which is not so bad for a 2200kg monster. Whilst I was away I also got some Advanti Sabotage 20 inch rims and tyres fitted.Very happy with the whole package now. Best family truckster money can buy I reckon.

Mondie, I will let you. I am booked in on the 22nd December. So it will be some time after then. I will be on Holidays on the mid north coast of NSw - so will make the trak down to Sydney for the day to get thr Job done. Looking forward to the power increase.

Barry Blue -cheers for the photo. It does look really sweet ! Not sure I can stretch the budget to 22's at this point but the black on white is a winner. What wheels are they ? The only wheels that I have found that I like and still are insurable are Avanti Sobatages - they do look a lot like the ones on your machine. Do these 22's have the correct laod rating for the Terry ? What tyres are you running ? Again does not seems to be a great choice of wheels for a Terry in 20's with a 104V load/speed rating. Alos if it is not a rude question how much were the 22's and where did you get them from. thanks again barry Orrie

Yesterday I picked up my TTG, white, 7 seater, bluetooth, ipod, and a few other bits and peices. Traded a 2006 MK2 XR6T - custom tune and K&N filter. Gota say that the terry feels sluggish at this point compare to the V slightly modded XR6T. However, the ride is very nice - firm but not harsh - very re-assuring actually. It is much quieter then the Falcon on road. I have a few km's of twisty stuff just near my home and I went that way this afternoon. You know it is a big, heavy car when you throw it about - the falcons does handle this better , HOWEVER, the turbo terry is still very good for what it is. I tried pretty hard to see if the DSC would acitivate, but if it did it was very unabtrusive. AS a family truckster I do not think you will find ANYTHING better within a $50,000 premium over the terry. The kids love it, the wife is very impressed and I just know with a tune from C&V in a couple of weeks time (plus injectors, bung removal and gapped plugs), it will be a top family performace ride. In short - I am really happy with the the purchase. Just slightly off topic, would love to see some photos of white terry's with black 20 inch rims fitted ( or any terr's with black rims actually). The reason I hijacked this post a little is that I use to be able to post new threads but now I can't - not sure of the problem. If anyone can point me in the right direction in this regard I would appreciate it. thanks Orrie.

Hi Headsex, I sent you a PM with the same question below but maybe someone else out there can answer in the mean time (I did not read the whole thread so sorry if the answer has already been posted earlier) interested in buying a set. Just have a question you might be able to answer. How do these injectors handle factory tune - maybe the question should really be how does the factory tune handle these injectors ? Just wondering when you have to flash back standard tune, after edit, if they behave the same as standard injectors or at least can compensate ?

Hi raptor, Mate you are spot on ! My Bad ! I forgot to update the wheel size 17inch to 18inch for the TT ghia. New Clacs say that the Terry should be spinning at approx 1770 RPM for 100 klicks. Orrie

These figures are calculated - theory - based on gear ratios. So that is what the engine REALLY should be spinning at to acheive. Of course different tyre sizes, pressures, wear etc as well as tacho error will effect what you see on the tacho. I guess the important bit is that a terry will be spinning about 25% faster in top gear compared to a Falcon Orrie

Hi Falcon BF - 6th gear (auto) needs 1585 RPM for 100km Turbo Terry - 6th gear (auto) needs 2012 RPM for 100km Hope this helps Orrie

Sounds Like an interesting Insurance claim - do tell ...

I have a similar problem as well - BF MK11 - Brand New - have had a vibration through the car since new. Been in for 3 balances and rotation of tyres etc. Last time there was a big improvement for 40km's. The next day the same vibration+hum was there again until I inadvertently ran over the ripple stripes on the side of the road for about 3 seconds and then it has been good again for about 150km's. I was convinced it was a dud tyre untilk the ripple strip thing and now it has got me really baffled. Just going to monitor it for a while and see. Just P's me off when this sort of crap happens with a brand new car. On a +ve note had a custom tune done last Friday with K&N filter - 260 rkkw and very happy with the performance now!

As i IM'd you, Unless everyone is paid (and i verified) by Friday, chances are small. Also, their stock levels are only enough to cover approx 80% of the quantity we have here (hense why i've given them deposit for 10 sets so they can order more without risk of overstocking)..
