  2. if you are after some GT rims, I think www.wheelking.com.au does copies, been a while since I looked.

I'm not mechanic but part of the scheduled servicing is to tighten the exhaust manifold bolts and this could be the source of your leak. There may be a run down on here on how to do it, I know there is one on Fordforums.
  4. I have Herrod suspension in my car and the basic kit actually came with a K-mac camber kit, so you may have it actually fitted. If one of the springs is lower, the spring might be gone and needing replacing. Firstly though, take it to someone who does deal with aftermarket suspension and knows what they are looking at, least they may be able to point you in the right direction and also align the car properly once fixed.
  5. no can do buddy, it will vin lock to your car and won't be able to be used on your dads unless you flash back to stock and then a tuner unlocks it.
  6. a wrecker who may have one is www.ftgautosalvage.com.au. Also try some of the larger tuning shops, they could have one lying around from an upgrade.
  7. You can only get a 6 speed auto in the BF onwards
  8. If the pod is going to be in your engine bay the heat of the motor will cause it to suck in hot air rather than cool air from under the light with the phoon snorkel.
  9. Good result, although 265rwkw wouldn't equate to 355 flywheel kw. What was the stock rwkw figure? Yeh, start saving for a clutch, I have 262 rwkw and treat my clutch nicely but 4 months after the tune she's showing signs of stress and death is imminent.
  10. Don't put a ford job in, waste of money. They wont replace it under warranty as it is considered like brake pads and tyres which are a consumable item that will eventually wear out. Did you own the car from new, if not it may have had a hard time by the previous owner, if so, do you let the missus drive it cause that could be the problem. The clutch's in these things are like a fuse, under engineered so that the clutch will give before a grenade goes off in the gearbox. They are built good enough to only just hold the stock power levels. Check out the sponsor Mal Wood on the forum, he'll fix you up with a good clutch.
  11. And if they let me take a brand new F6 for $45k, then I would have, but some how I don't think so.
  12. I even test drove one, just didn't have the extra coin to afford the luxo pack so I didn't go ahead.
  13. I had a willing participant last night in the form of a VY SS. Tell tale sign was when he put it sidesawys behind me in peak hour traffic and then planting it and jumping on the brakes before running up my ass. Just didn't get a front row grid to line him up before I turned off, pity, if I didn't have to be somewhere, I would have taken the long way home.

at 19, have you checked if anyone will insure ya?
  15. I think you may need a "get out of jail free" card as well to go with that. Looks awesome but.
  16. Cheers for the responses guy's, Fatz, you make a lot of sense with your theory, I too was expecting a greater rise in rev's, but of course it's not dead yet so it would only slip a little. I will give your experiment a try on the weekend and see how we go, I then might need to speak to our mate Mal.
  17. G'day Guy's, I have a MK11 XR6T pushing 262 rwkw with a 6 speed running the stock clutch. The only experience I have had with a dodgy clutch was in my old 180B (should I admit that I owned one?), so not a good comparison. On the weekend, we went for a squirt in the country and doing some overtaking, I dropped back to 4th at about 90 - 100 and gave it WOT. I noticed as the tacho hit the 3000 - 3500 rev region the engine revs (via the tacho) started to remain constant and seemed if the car lacked power and didn't accelerate as it should have. I was only able to replicate it once before the trip was over. Once I was down to suburban speeds, I opened it up in lower gears and everything seemed fine and I didn't try WOT in 5th or 6th. My thoughs were if it was the clutch, the engine rev's would continue to rise rapidly with the car not accelerating, but this theory is out unless the tacho picks up engine rev's via the gearbox as opposed to the engine. Anyone shed any light? I haven't done a throttle body clean or boost soleniod maintenance as yet because everything seems fine in the lower gears.
  18. My missus was pretty impressed with a growling....
  19. Yeh, and tell the bloke he can come and pick you up from the airport in it.
  20. Dyno will have relevance as it is what records RWKW. Chuck a SS with 270 at the fly on the dyno and it will probabally read 210 - 230 rwkw, therefore disputing his claims that they produce 270 at the wheels.
  21. Yep talking crap, get him to back it up on a dyno.
  22. Apart from what F6 ute said, are you still running the factory trans oil? If so, switch it to Transmax Z, it made a vast improvement in the shift quality of mine.
  23. what happened to the rallifart magna's????
