  1. How much did it cost you all up? Where did they mount the cooler?
  2. nice wheels xtrmn8, the concave look really looks good. secaboy runs the same widths and offset in 19s if you want to see pics. dunno if it's lowered though http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80320-fg-xr6-turbo-3006rwkw/?p=1385621 I've also had the exact same widths and offset in 19s before and those offsets work but mine wasn't lowered (don't have pics of fitment though). I think the only limiting factor is tyre size for the rear as some tyre brands can run wider than others you could actually go 8.5 +20 up front and it will be closer to flush. I run 9 +26 on mine and they're about 3mm inside the guard with -1deg camber
  3. 9.5 +30 will be flush with the rear guard. Those sizes and tyres are pretty good front and rear. What kind of rims are they? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  4. I don't get it mate, your posts don't have anything to do with oil temp. I'm using trans temp on torque as a substitute but would like oil temp too if it's possible. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  5. hey f-wolf and xtrmn8 is there any more info in those scanned pids? I'm trying to get engine oil temp (eot) working off my torque app but I can't work out which OBD header to use I got trans temp working after setting the header to TCM after someone figured it out off the trans temp thread but no response from eot
  6. yep should fit but will be stretched. 255/40 can fit up to 10"
  7. haha very funny guys no seriously there's someone whos already done a 7" Galaxy Tab to replace the top LCD screen. he relocated the stock screen where the tissue box holder sits but I don't know if I like it. the radio preset buttons stay on the top and is a mis match with the Galaxy Tab as they should've been moved to the bottom too. Not a bad effort though, just needs to relocate the buttons and I reckon it would be awesome http://www.mp3car.com/android-tablet/155516-galaxy-tab-2-in-2010-ford-falcon-xr6-australia.html?amp;goto=newpost there's also a whole heap of mounts other than the usual suction cup mount Ram Mount are made in the US and do seat bolt, suction and cup holder mounts Ram Mount This one is similar to Ram Mount seat mount but for iPads only. Doesn't look as heavy duty as Ram Mount but foldable Joy Factory I was considering a 7" tablet mounted with one of these in the tissue box area but I'm reconsidering as the position is fixed and thinking of going a 10" tablet Tetrax
  8. Hey guys I want to find out where you've mounted your tablet in your car. I'm looking to mount a tablet somewhere that won't block any of the ICC buttons or view of the road to run Torque gauges I've thought about using an exomount but it will block the front screen which I'd like to avoid. Im considering the tissue box holder but I haven't been able to find a mount that would suit Post up your pics please! I need ideas
  9. Lol no I thought it goes well with kroozin's last post. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  10. Sorry haven't updated for a while. Yeah the tcm does the trick it reads in celcius after I rebooted my phone Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app

  12. Lol johno, china's middle class is nearly on par with the US. They're buying bimmers and mercs not $600 cars. This report is from 3 years ago: Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  13. You rolled your own guards bellato? I got PhillB from jdmst to do mine and there really wasn't much there to roll. I asked him to take it as far as he could without cracking the paint but would be hard to judge the limit unless you have a temp gun for the paint. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  14. Bellato 10 +36 is the same as 9.5 +30 that's why I went with those but +40 will fit too. There isn't much to gain rolling FG rear maybe 1 to 2mm. My rear tyres are closer to a 295 even though it says 285, when measured its 292mm. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  15. No worries bullet. You might wanna try jdmconcept he does specials from time to time on nissansilvia.com .Naddis you're after 8.5 +20 & 10 +36 or +38 Dunno why ppl run 275 either, maybe the brand of tyre they want doesn't come in 285. I have 10s on mine with +33 on 285s but my tyres have wide sidewalls so they stick out even with nearly -2deg camber. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  16. Been trialling the trans temp for FG the past few days. Set it to TCM and works but the temp reading seems too high. Im getting 170 to 180 degrees which might be in farenheit? Anyone know the average temps for ZFs? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  17. To do diff bushes you have to drop the rear cradle and shops will slug you for labour. I did mine at 30k km as I was getting rear camber arms put in which is a cradle out job so did it all in one go. I asked the guy how my stock diff bushes were and they had small cracks which confirmed the occasional diff thud I was getting when flooring in 2nd. Set me back $1500 for super pro comfort series front and side diff bushes, lower control arm bushes and adj camber arms with wheel alignment, supplied and fitted. I'd try getting them done thru warranty from Ford and ask the dealership if you can supply superpro bushes for the install as that would be a lot cheaper. But if you're not getting the diff thud yet I'd just enjoy the car for now and slowly get the superpro bushes in for when the time comes. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  18. Nah I mean the difference in sidewall height for the back makes the rears look smaller. Fair enough if you like gold centres but personally I prefer silver. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
  19. the enkeis are nice but sizing is very limited have you considered work kiwamis? (new cr kai) they do 18x9.5 +30 deep concave face and I think they clear brembos I know scatterbrain runs 18x9.5 +30 all round and it clears on his BF. check this post: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83426-18-x-95-30-front-of-fg/ would be worth asking scatterbrain and nelsonian if he got around to fitting them on the fronts if the fronts fit, you could run the same size tyre all round and rotate your tyres which is another bonus
  20. spot on bellato, that's why I was recommending the 9.5s as well. its a gamble going too wide with 18s for rear unless you can test fit the rim you're planning on buying bullet, 18x 9.5 + 30 are the magic numbers for rear. it will be dead flush with the rear guard and plenty of inner clearance front offset I'd go 8.5 +20 if possible (or close to it). they''ll poke the same as mine which is 9 +26 (with -1deg camber) mummba, how much camber are you running up front? does it rub on the inner guard on full lock?
  21. with 18s the lower trailing arm will be very close to the rim on the inside. I run 10s on mine and I was lucky enough mine cleared but only just. to make sure they don't foul on the inside, you need to run at least +35 or lower offset but this only applies to 18s. 19s and 20s clear this with no problems but having said that, the style of wheel barrel will also play a part as you'll see in the pics further down the pic below is how much clearance mine has on the inside with 10 +33 it really depends on the wheel barrel and the grooves or valleys as some wheels are dead straight like the stock ford wheels and others have these valleys in the barrel which can come very close to the trailing arm bolts eg straight Valleys
  22. my vote goes to work vsxx but I'd repaint the centres and run fatter tyres for rear. you can notice the size difference of the tyre in the pic and makes the rim look smaller
  23. An 8.5 all round will be like the stock wheels, will look sunken esp the rears. The 2nd and 3rd link will fit but won't be flush with the guard and you'll probably wish you'd gone a bit lower offset to fill the guard. Its hard to find a good match of rim widths and offset as most aftermarket wheel manufacturer do them at set sizes unless you go full custom but that won't be cheap. 24. Thanks mate had a look at that forum and from what I read some cars have an actual engine oil temp sensor or its a sensor that only goes off at a certain temp e.g. warning temp. Would be good to find out from someone who has it setup on a BF or Terry to confirm though. I reckon it might be a setting on the OBD header probably similar to setting the trans temp to TCM. I actually tried setting the EOT to TCM today but it didn't do anything, test was fine but guage didn't budge. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app
