Contact Ben at Mal Wood. I had similar problems with my clutch after 5,000 k's....anything over 4500 rpm it would just seize up for about a minute due to the preasure plate.....solved it by putting in a Mal Wood stage II kit.
  2. Who at Morpowa is doing the edits? Is it Simon or is Martin doing them there? Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For my car both of them did it because it was Morpowas 1st tune...haven't spoken to hime for a few days so not quite sure if they have done any this week. They will be at the Australian Motoring Expo next weekend.
  3. If anyone is interested, Morpowa are now doing the Edit. My car was done on Thursday and more than happy with the result...255rwkw up from 240rwkw. Cheers Brad
  4. I broke it After waiting 90 minutes to get on I launched it the same as I did 10 times at Heathcote the weekend before without drama...no wheelspin and bang diff goes bye bye. Wasn't fun seeing my car on a flatbed going home. I'll give credit where its due though. I rang Simon from Morpowa when it happened. He was out with his Mrs but organised a trade tow back to Morpowa and then met me there to open up so the car could be locked away...that's what I call service. Decision now is to go back to the standard diff or bite the bullet and spend $$$ to upgrade. Brad
  5. I'll be out there...hope its a bit quiter than 5/2/05 .....there was a heap of cars that night. Hope the rain stays away...I want to see how the new clutch goes which Simon at Morpowa is putting in If you are out there...come up and say hello. Cheers Brad
  6. Blew its gearbox today and was replaced midrace by the munroe.....why they have yank car for v8supercars is beyond me
  7. Bruce I'll be there and wouldn't mind having a chat to you about your xtreme clutch if that OK. Was that you I passed on the SE Freeway near Mt Barker Sunday 2 weeks ago....I was travelling back from the FPV Open Day Brad

I have seen a Difillipo system and wasn't too impressed.....it was a shocker <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What didn't you like about it? The look, the sound or the performance?
  11. This what you mean ? Brad
  12. I think it was a LJ Torana or similar. Massive engine with massive slicks. Bloody loud too. Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Craig I have one of your runs on Video if you are interested....going to transfer to PC tonight. Brad
  13. I was hoping that you got it done in Brisbane. No probs, I'll just have to look around to see who does them up here. 233rwkw is a very nice number for an XR8. Will be interested to hear if she's loosened up any more. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No worries good luck....hoping to go to the drags on 5/2/05 and she how it goes down the quarter. I'll let you know the results. Cheers Brad
  14. Thanks for that Brad ... that sounds and looks soooo hot !!! Where about's did you get it done? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No worries mate ..glad you liked. As I said the sound file doesn't do it justice as it sounds a lot better in real life. System was done in Adelaide at Morpowa. By the way...after the underdrive pullies went on I put it on the dyno and it showed 233rwkw. This was after 3000 k's and I am now up to 9000 so I was thinking of putting it back on to see if it has gone up. BUT rwkw may make you feel all warm and fuzzy but the real test is down 400m. Cheers Brad
  15. Mate if you PM me your email address I will send you 2 sound files of 1.5mb each. I can also send you a little video also. Cheers Brad
  16. Did one run through the tunnel at about 70 Km/h and took 2 or 3 photos. Light is always the same so you shouldn't have too many problems. Just make sure the freeway is quiet so you don't block anyone coming down at the speed limit of 90 km/h. Cheers Brad
  17. Hi all... For anyone living in Adelaide the Crafers Tunnel is a great place to take a photo of your car. All you need is someone with a steady hand driving next to you and a nice clean car!! This photo was taken the other day...a member from AFF did the extra work. Cheers Brad
  18. Stop teasing me Brad. Why do you think I haven't caught up with you yet!!. Seriously driving your XR8 may do some serious damage..lol I need to be patient until the Supra is gone. I read on another forum that you work for the NAB. What department do you work in as I have a very close friend- last name Webber and she's recently started there. Colville <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In Head Office in King William Street..Credit Restructuring area ( all the bad stuff) She work in the City? Brad
  19. Colville Don't forget you know where you can test drive a BA MkII XR8 6 speed....offer is still open Cheers Brad

  21. Have seen these plates in Adelaide. FORD - on a BA GT THE FIRM - on a HSV ( The Firm is an "establishment" in Adelaide ) Saw this one on another forum...IB6UB9 And saw this in my garage this morning...XR8888 Cheers Brad
  22. Good pics...always good to see a bit of interaction with the dark side. My best mate and his brother in law went for a cruise a while back...took these pics.
  23. No problems with mine apart from sometimes it struggles to go into 1st from nuetral. Fifth gear at 60 is OK but don't normally go into sixth until 80 - 90.
  24. Yeh, but does it go any faster? 400m measure HP best! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't understand what you are getting at ..Does it go any faster than what ?? Goes a hell of a lot harder than my series 3 XR8.
  25. No problems Peter Luxon Cam is just a guy, a normal guy with a car that took it out the track, with relatively little experience, and ran it down the strip for some fun, by himself, on a Friday night. Its his car he wanted to do it, and he did. I dont even know how he shifted it, or if he used the extra engine rpm on offer etc. None of which sits easily with you. I know that. The fact that it wasn't stripped, on slicks, running a bigger converter, with every bolt on elixir known to mankind hanging off it must be hard to comprehend. It wasnt a workshop special, nor running/tuned for race gas. Just an average guy, with a nice car. You forgot the biggest thing though Pete. Since I edited the car it no longer stalls every time you pull it in and out of gear like it did with the Unichip. The owner no longer wants to sell it. You guru you <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey Martin, I was right beside Camerons car when it was put on the dyno at the Expensive Daewoo vs Ford Nationals in Melbourne. It stalled 3 times just backing up onto the dyno ... unichips make em stall alright!!!!!!!!! Then it stalled again as they were trying to drive it off. UNICHIP = REAL TIME STALLING <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HSVETA My car has a Unichip and hasn't stalled once....go over to FF and check out the thread on BA Stalling problems...seems the problem might by with Ford and not with APS !! Has the Unichip in your car caused it to stall ?
