Fw is pretty good but don't use it on a dirty or dusty car

So if your siting in a traffic jam on the highway how does the tranny get cooled?or in the staging lanes at the race track Same reason why taxi go through so many trans rebuilds,when you have a thermo switch and fan this will eliminate the problem where if the trans gets to around 100 degrees the fan kicks in till the temps drop back down,at the end of the day everyone has to make up their own mind and buy what they think will suit both budget and Circumstances,this is just another option..

Also I think the furious front mount trans cooler/thermo fan kit is over 700 bucks plus fitting...

yes this will replace the stock exchanger,it still will be an external unit as in a oil to water heat exchanger mounted behind the trans

It will most likely be mounted on or near the rear gearbox cross member,price is not really known at this stage and fitting will be quite straight forward from what iv seen so far

the chassis mount setup isn't happening anymore due to too long lines and drilling into the chassis

Theye are very confident knowing the problem with the original one which is brazed together internally. Where the pwr one is a thick plate type alloy that is tig welded and pressure tested.

Well the original heat exchanger works really well,obvious problem being the milkshake caused by the original heat exchanger,I discussed this with Steve and theye made a near bulletproof heat exchanger which is twice the size of the stock,so I guess we will see in the next few days which way things will go,once the kit is finally out for sale that's the one you will want

I Meant cold start

The stock cooler or heat exchanger is also used to get the trans temps up to operating temp from a cold as quick as it can start,with a front Mount cooler your doing the opposite

It can work well if setup correctly with thermo fans temp switches wiring harness etc,it all adds up cost wise,the trans itself dosnt really suffer overheat problems,more what jsnot said being the dreaded milkshake

Basically four hoses and two bolts for the cooler not too much else I would imagine
