  1. How's is hanging? Long time no post. Life gets a who lot busier and more $$ when you have an 11 month old. Coming on the forum just gets me enthused about a bunch of sh*t I can't afford...haha. I'm excited about buying gas struts at the moment (Sad I know). Having said that I've spent a little on the Rodeo getting it looking half respecatble again. Not that I should complain, the little fella is a rediculously good kid and being a dad is awesome! Will try and get on more often and try and keep up (like a commodore). <-----------Dad Joke, getting the hang of it! Ant
  2. Cheers for the help guys. Will be purchasing a pair!
  3. My boot struts are shot (FG). The ford struts are pricey compared to others on eBay (for example). Anyone purchased any particular strut brand they would recommend? If the Ford ones fail often I don't really want to pay more for them. Thanks Ant
  4. Did you have to modify anything to get it to sit flat? Clearly I've been a little fast to say 'it can't be done'. Ant
  5. Well mine fits very poorly. No matter how it was fit in the middle it would sway when driving. I swallowed my pride and got a fitter to reinstall and still had the same problem. The problem being that it would not sit flat on the hump in the middle seat. My seat is the Britax Safe and Sound Compact. I'm glad it worked for you guys, as mentioned, it is the safer option. Was considering trying another seat but installer assured me I had one if the best on the market and the side was fine. Ant
  6. Middle is safest but not when it doesn't fit properly. The seats (if you buy decent one) are supposed to be well protected even from side impact. I would definitely have preferred to put it in the middle but I sought advice from a certified installer and they said it's still relatively safe in the side as long as it's rear facing. Ant
  7. I knew the time would come when my wife would cash in on the "let's buy a safe family sedan" idea. Mods So Far: Car seat for New born to 4yo Window Sock Seat covers Child on board sign More to come........ And just a tip for people in my position....don't try and put a child seat in the middle seat of an fg, it will not fit. Ant
  8. Ok finally found this thread. I've done the install. It is better but I have found it has lost a bit of volume, probably cause 8 ohm. Will have a crack at the eq. Any other suggestions? Ant

Saw this out back of brother inlaws tyre and auto shop. The customer took out the 6 and is replacing with 350 chev v8. What would u have done?
  10. Hi, Just a question to all those who have replaced their 8" subs on their premium sound. Did you continue to reverse the polarity on the replacement? Thanks Ant
  11. Just installed the jaycar response 8" sub. Was pretty easy except that I didn't have the star pattern wrench (to take out the anchor for baby seat) and had to borrow one. Definitely need to put some dynamat or something on the shelf but is a cheap improvement from factory. Only $40. A bit more punch and can hear lower frequencies. Ant
  12. Got jaycar 8" to replace. Let ya'll know how it sounds. If ok will likely get one for my rodeo, bugger won't fit in the box I built though. (For a different speaker), if it goes ok free air guess it won't matter too much if it's mounted on the box with spacers. Ant
  13. Not my Ms...lol...my wife is 25 weeks pregnant. Was a great day. Father in law took the opportunity to ask her to stand next to my car to take a pic (great bloke!). Some awesome cars almost anything you can think of in Aussie classics (although the early model Sigma didn't quite fit the bill). Plenty of yank tanks too! Was expected to have 300 cars but had more than 500. Was a big event. Ant
  14. Couldn't resist this one!
