Fg Rear Bumper Removal
No dramas mate. Looks harder than it is. For me the scariest bit was drilling holes in it for the parking sensors. Needed some beers to calm the nerves before I could do it.

Fg Rear Bumper Removal
Here is a pic. Pretty useless I know, but ive highlighted where the three bolts are holding the tail light in. I cant remember where the bolts holding the bar on are, but you wont miss them.

Fg Rear Bumper Removal
Hey mate- Tail lights have to come off. From memory you pull the trim from the inside of the boot free, and there is two (or maybe three) bolts inside the boot to remove the tail light. Disconnect the loom and they just fall free. Once the taillights are out you will see some phillips head screws attaching the bar to the car. Then I think there is three plastic scrivets underneath the bar. All from memory mate. I looked and I can't find the pics I took when I had mine off.

Dim Interior Lights- After Abs And Dsc Fault
Mine did that a few weeks ago. The problem was just a loose battery terminal. Take the leads off, clean them and see how it goes. Mine hasn't had a problem since.

Extra Power Sockets
Thanks for the input lads. So what I will do is run a cable direct from the battery to a relay. That relay will be switched by accessories. I'll mount the relay somewhere behind the dash, then split some cables from it to the centre console and boot sockets and earth them to the chassis. Sound about right? I'm guessing an in line fuse will be needed. What amp should it be? And what gauge wire should I use? Shouldn't need to be the thick stuff the blokes running subs and amps need will it? Cheers. Extra Power Sockets
Hi all. I'm planning on adding a few extra 12V ciggi power sockets to the car. Ive already spliced into the factory socket and hardwired in my mobile phone handsfree. Plan is to add another two concealed in the centre console, and another in the boot. The two in the centre console will be running my soon to be installed uhf and a remote head for a seperate scanner. The boot mount will be running the scanner itself. My question is, would it be ok to just splice all four sockets into the factory one, or should I source it elsewhere? Maybe with some higer gauge wire from the fuse panel? Im about to install a factory reverse sensor kit I scored on ebay, so the interior will be in bits anyway (I have to run the tow bar loom). I figured now is a good time to run the antenna cabling and sort this out while im at it.

Carbon Fibre Auto Shifter
Nah I just installed the handsfree kit.

Carbon Fibre Auto Shifter
I recently replaced my auto shifter knob with one I got for cheap on eBay. The silver colouring was worn away on mine. I was bored today so I pulled the old one apart and wrapped it in Carbon Fibre look adhesive sheeting. Step 1- Remove the auto shifter. Slide down the leather boot from the base of the knob. Then slide down the plastic end piece- no screw or clips it just reqires a little force. Remove the small u-clip from the shaft, just under where the boot would meet the knob. Once that's off then the knob just slides off. And the knob removed. Step 2- Disassemble the knob. Easy. Gently push down on the top of the button with a small flat head screwdriver. You can see the small plastic bit on the top holding it in in the photo below. Once the button is out of the knob and hanging forward out of the assembly, just pull it to one side to release the bottom clips. No screws or glue or anything else holding it in. It will just fall out. Inside you will see a small phillips head screw. Undo this and the top part will come off. The top leather part will also fall free. Step 3- Applying Carbon Sheet. This is 3M Di-Noc Carbon Sheet. I got a A4 sheet from ebay for about 10 bucks. Ive had it sitting around for ages. Was going to wrap my iPhone- then lost it. Before applying- clean the trim piece with alcohol to remove any grime or oils. Then cut a piece of the sheets off, remove the adhesive backing and stick it to the trim piece. Then hit it with a heat gun (I just used the missus hairdrier), and it will stretch and bend wherever you want it. Use your fingers to pull it tight and massage it around the curves of the piece. Its really good this stuff, if you screw it up you can just peel it off, heat it up until its flat, and start again. Trim the edges and I ended up with something like this. I found it was easier to remove the bends and bubbles from the front if I trimmed all the way to the edges on the rear rather than leaving an overlap. And reassemble. I think it looks the goods. No plans to do any other trim. I have a luxo pack so I think the darker trim goes with it anyway. Aack in the car.

How To Remove Centre Console- Fg
Just a quick update on this. Turns out you can. And its ridiculously easy. Cant believe I missed it. To remove the auto shifter- Slide down the leather boot from the base of the knob. Then slide down the plastic end piece- no screw or clips it just reqires a little force. Remove the small u-clip from the shaft, just under where the boot would meet the knob. Once that's off then the knob just slides off. And the knob removed. Once the knob is off the boot will be easy to remove. Would make life a lot easier when removing the centre console.

Cheap Ford
I actually saw a VE Caprice that Expensive Daewoo is exporting to the US in full LAPD trim driving down Flinders Street a few months back. Dont think they got any hassels from the boys in blue. Honestly- joe public would have to be retarded to think that (or this crown vic) was a real Victorian cop car...

Yeah I reckon he has only said that to 'comply with ebay policies'. Otherwise what would be the point of listing everything it has in it? haha All you would need to do is throw some magnetic panels over anything that says 'Police' and it would be good I think. Rego on the other hand might be an issue. Different story if you had the lights on and were pulling people over or running red lights though...

Adding After Market Reverse Camera To F6 With Satnav
Thanks mate. If I like what I see ill get one. I keep driving FG's with reverse sensors/cameras for work- then I get in mine and start backing up waiting for the beep... and forget there is none coming. And bump into things.

Adding After Market Reverse Camera To F6 With Satnav
Mate can you let me know how you went? And post some photos up of the camera mounted on your boot! If it looks like the factory kit ill get one- but I have asked everywhere what sort of camera they use and nobody knows. I asked ASL and they emailed me a blurry photo of it on a VE Clubsport. Which would be handy if I asked what it looked like on a VE Clubsport.

Battlefield 3
I can never get on your server stainless. Everytime I try to load it I get a 'disconnected from ea online' message. Got on it for about 1 minute tonight- just enough time to shoot 1 chopper down and then crashed to desktop. Damn this game is so much better multiplayer than MW3, but its just so damn buggy! Oh and I just got a new logitech G700 for this. Works sweet!

Thanks lads. Disconnected the battery as suggested and seems to have fixed the problem. Strange.

Apple Ipod Thread (Merged Topic)
Ive plugged up the iPod in my FG and the damn thing isnt working anymore. Has worked fine since ive had it, but now I cant get the icc to recognise there is an iPod connected. The iPod still charges and comes up with the 'OK to disconnect' screen it always has when I connect it, but all I get on the ICC is the Aux plug icon where it used to show iPod. Also, when I change to FM radio ive noticed even though the radio is playing and I can change the stations etc with the buttons, the display just shows the 'No disk' screen like its on the CD player setting for about a minute before it changes to FM. Anyone got any ideas?? God damn im not having a good run lately. Came home from an overseas holiday to find my PS3 had the yellow light of death, my PC had repeated blue screens of death and I had to do a clean install, my laptop HDD is fried, and I left my phone in the fvckin taxi from the airport. And now this.

Battlefield 3
I just got it working. What a fvckin mission. Had to format and do a clean install. Must say I am very disappointed that DICE say its eyefinity capable- and it blatently isnt. Its unplayable even on the lowest settings, so for now im running it on just the one monitor until they patch it. Good fun and looks awesome on ultra- athough game wise Im getting my ass handed to me. My BC2 experience seems to have faded... Tag is RomeoKilo. Im running an i7 920 @ 3.8, 2X CF HD6970's and 3X 24's in a cockpit.
