  1. Richdave. This is only a insight in what I have found over the years with the injectors Ford insisting on useing.Back when they bought back the Windsor 5.0 they all fitted Nippendenso injectors instead of going for the Bosch items which are far better quality. The petrol that we can buy from either huge manufactures like Shell or Mobil contains some very interesting additives that these injectors do not like in standard unleaded.Let alone the stuff the supermarkets bring in from Singapore. The sulphur,Tar and Varnish build up occurring everytime you shut down would quite discust you.All it takes is a mircoscopic bit of tar or varnish to form on the pintle and seat of your injector and you will have leak down overnight causeing the car to either be hard to start or start up on 3 then 5-6 cylinders. This is only a observation that I have found over the years being in this business,Building a machine to solve these problems.I would recommend if possible and if it is not to expensive to always insist on buying a High octane fuel as Optimax or Mobil and stay away from chaseing cheap fuel. You will always get another 50-100km out of a tank so it is worth while in my opinion. The majority of Ford dealers have my machine in NSW anyway but if your problem continues and Ford cant fix it please do not hesitate to contact me.Maybe this is the problem,Maybe not but just a thought.

I just saw on the news a Black XR6 that was hijacked by 2 ramraiders after they crashed there stolen WRX.The T was smashed into a XE wagon and the thieves escaped.Pretty scary stuff.Hope you are alright and your kid after the ordeal whoever you are.
  3. I think you are right mate concerning the Automatic cars suffering more than manuals but I would say there is a issue on Km driven as well.I thought mine was going to OK but they need doing now after I did 9000k.I am glad to hear some people have had success with getting the discs machined but the question is always going to be how long will this last for?.
  4. Mmmmmmmmm. I am going to upgrade from my T ute into one of these when my lease is up.The old wifes tale about there is nothing like a V8 has some creditability I think.

I think everyboby commenting on there issues on brakes has or going to get the exact same problem happening.I really cannot see Ford doing a recall and will continue on there path of machine,Machine and more machineing.Brakes that have been done like Chrislaks are already showing the same symptons like eskys car with limited milage but be aware you will be back again for the same thing. Esky,I feel sorry for you mate,Just not good enough and I cant see them returning or giving you a nice call to give you new rotors,Good luck anyway. I am personally going to upgrade to those new DBA slotted rotors for many reasons. My car is my office and anytime spent sitting in a dealer to get the same thing fixed just costs me time and money expecially when the same thing will happen down the track.Fix it first time and be done with it I think. This car is very impressive in so many ways and I would say it is the best Ford I have owned and will be even better with the brakes fixed properly.

T6Man. Fact is I have disc warpage problems a 9000K as a lot of people chatting or commenting on this problem. When the car was new the problem was not there but occurred over 2-3 months. The machineing of the disc is a quick fix just to send you on your way and will be back very soon I am sure. They,The service dept is to try and keep you happy and will continue to machine until there is not enough metal to recutt then maybe you will get new rotors supplied and we get on the merry go round again. Why would a machine cut on your discs cure this problem for good?. I thought I would of been luckie as well not having my oil breather pipe pop off when starting and filling my engine bay full of smoke but hey it happened on the weekend. I sell into all these dealers and no what sort of things they try and get up to,Even had the same problems when I was a apprentice trying to fix brake shudder and warpage problems. There is no quick fix mate and I am sure everybodys car will have the same hassle. This problem is not induced by certain types of driving or peoples driving techniques or habits.

Well Guys,This is obviousilly going to be a major problem with all our cars concerning disc warpage.I for one are not going to continually go back to the dealer to have my Discs machined over and over so they look like a devin slice in 6 months time. All the dealers are machineing the discs, which have to done on the car to eliminate flange runout but who says they have this equipment.I know of at least 3 major ones in Sydney that dont and wonder if they are even in a position to diagonose these problems. You know what is going to be there fix and it will be cheap and nasty and probley only last maybe a year so maybe if we all put in a order for some good DBA or other brand discs it might be cost effective. The thought of spending 50k on a car with s--t brakes pi--es me off.Would of bought a VX if I wanted this problem.
  8. Tas. Give the service dept the hurry mate as they all seem to think everybody has no idea.I think there were prevoius posts on water pump leakage so be carefull.Dont what ever you do run your T out of water. They all say the failsafe systym cuts in but you get any motor to hot and you will pay in the long run.Use your good discreation in this matter what ever you do.

I really feel sorry for all you guys waiting for delivery on your T,Wondering if all options ticked are going to be right on your car.Went through exactly the same problems with delivery dates and options asked for through my stupid order taker[sorry salesman].You have to really ask yourself what is so hard about taking a order and getting it right specially when you do it all for them.I ordered my car with all accesories off the Ford site and they still got it wrong let alone there non existant after sales service. The only person who could give me any information that was correct was a very nice ladie called Katherine Murray. You can get her on this address.Hope this helps anyone distressed. [email protected]

What started as a interesting subject suddenly got very boring.I for one are really not interested in your comments about your car.Go and spend 50K on a T and be abit more contructive.

HSVRIP. As I suggested before mate for $1000 I considered this a good deal.Have a look at the post today of a couple pitures of the black XR6.The car looks a million bucks. And just remember to order the spare wheel for $400 as well.
  12. Another hot looking 4 door. Just carry around a bucket with a sponge a something to dry it with mate as my last XR8 was this colour and I have never washed a car as much in my entire life.Looks fantastic.
  13. I have taken and let driven 2 good mates for test rides during the week and have been informed by both that they are upgradeing to a T ASAP.1 order was placed yesterday and my other mate is looking at colours this weekend at different dealers. What can you say?. P.s Both GM drivers at present.

G and Velvet. I agree with both of you concerning enjoying the car for myself not to satisfy anyone else.99% of the time I do just take off slowly from the lights as people cannot seem to help themselves.I have seen many a time cars going to extroidary lenghts to be in a vacant lane next to you at the lights.Just remember I have removed the T badge to not encourage these type of people but what do you do. I did buy this car as a upgrade to my AU2 XR8 and it is a big improvement,Only thing I miss is my old AU 82 litre fuel tank which I could drive from Sydney to Gold Coast without stopping but I get good fuel consumption from this car as well.Getting better everyday.

T6MAN. Got a good laugh out of that picture.Good to see someone as well useing there cars in a constructive manner. One more picture would be nice of the front bar fitted to the ute. Where from?. How much?. Did you fit it and if so where does it mount on to?. Have a good 3 days off.

Craig. I certainlly did eat there dust mate,Not that I like to inform people that much.I will get my modes happening and see what happens then,Not that I am looking for it or recommend it. What would you do in this situation?.Have 2 idiots in a V8 SS Late model camira giving you verbal s--t saying what a sh*t car you have reving there motor off the limiter?.Give them abit of XR6 medicine I think.

I do not recommend this practise but people will not leave me alone specially at lights.I do 1K a week so only natural to be targeted.I intend on keeping my 12 points so these are definently not extended traffic light duels. This is all manually shifting my Auto. 3 VT SS Gen 3 1 TT Soarer 2 WRX standard I think. Hosed by a STI 1 manual VX clubsport.Think he missed a gear too. Hosed by a TT Porshe 1 Manual XR6 -I think he missed his gear change. Are you out there?. 2 XR8 AU2-3 sedans.
  18. Scott. Please provide part numbers of this disc.

T6MAN. The back of the ute looks good with the new width rim,Has your son considered lowering the ute at all?.Has he had a desent load in the back of the tray to make sure they dont grind?. The original wheels from your T3 are a nice looking rim from standard,I was even considering when I ordered my car these rims to be fitted but it was way to confuseing for my dealer to handle.Do they have multiple spokes on them like the last AU 250 ute?. Maybe you would consider doing something with them as I pulled the Unichip out of my last car AU2 XR8 that does not fit my new T that would go straight into your T3.Please note this is only a suggestion as I really are not fussed in off loading it.I will be tradeing it in when they finally come out with the new unit next month.

Bet you will get one ris as I personally wont be able to help myself.I think the one from SS will be quite good and for about $300 fitted its not bad value at all considering it will look on the original side.Go on go and spoil yourself.
  22. ASNU replied to a post in a topic in Engine Management & Fuel Systems
Check out the APS web site mate or the SSINDUCTIONS site as well. These companies will have units for sale next month which look and apparently even work. They also have the original look about them so it does not look butchered.

T6MAN. Your car looks great mate and your sons as well. Those rims that you bought for yours does the company have a web site up and going?. A rear picture of your sons ute would be good to see how these rims fill out the rear wheel arch. Are you in the future going to consider to purchuse a T.How does your sons car go against yours. Is your car the 220kw. Thanks for the pic.
  24. ASNU replied to a post in a topic in Off-Topic
T6MAN. You are very correct in saying these prices are cheap for a nice set of wheels,Even been looking at some already but how far do you go mate.It would be great to have the 5-6 grand to lash out but I think money could be spent else where.Probley would just increse the risk of some fool trying to rip the car off anyway. Got a nice picture of your car mate?.
  25. ASNU replied to a post in a topic in Off-Topic
T6MAN. I thought in the purchuse of my car the $1000 option to upgrade to 18 inch rims was very good value,Dont you think?.The cost of any decent 18 inch rim plus tyres would have to set you back at least $2500-$3000 for these cars. You are very correct in saying it is a personal opinion for everyone to make this decision,There are alot of different options to choose from in your order form,Leather etc.
