  1. we are seeing more and more of these... build up of rubber/plastic on water pump and idler pulleys cause belt wear... dont know why its happening but I have done pulleys and belts under warranty for this reason before

  3. It will most likely be the combination switch seen this a few times
  4. If the pumps not noisey it shouldnt need replacing, repco do good aftermaket high pressure hoses you just have to be careful bleeding the pump after you replace the hose. Never just start and run it fill the reservoir then start engine for 1 or 2 seconds turn it off and repeat 4 times adding fluid as it bleeds down then start engine and turn wheel lock to lock with wheels on the ground until pump goes quiet, may take a day or 2 for pump to fully bleed during normal driving
  5. I can honestly say you are a better man than me, putting up with that sh*t and not caving heads in, I tip my hat to you sir
  6. I went to a test n tune when mine was basically stock (bf xr6t sedan zf auto) with a mates car (stock ba2 xr6t ute 6spd man) he ran 14.4 I ran 13.5 nuff said lol
  7. Have a look at the turbosmart stealth series bov's they make one perfect for xrts
  8. Wow this thread is crazy, The air forced back through the compressor DOES NOT stall the compressor wheel it creates turbulance which causes the flutter/ "dose" (hate that word) sound, effect on the turbocharger is debateable but increased shock loading on the shaft and bearings can contribute to a failure, bov's are there to allow the compressor to spin freely during closed throttle high boost situations and do allow the turbo to build boost much faster when WOT is reapplied
  9. Oh true I didnt realise he ha anyone else workin for him, oh well sorry chad! Lol
  10. Well really its just him but yeh hes a gun tunes anything with wheels
  11. Spikes to 16psi tapering of to 13 psi at 6k completely stock turbo not port or actuator mods
  12. Yeh jussst scraped in but im still in my mate tuned it using vcm suite for me he runs profile autosports here in brisbane and has done a fair few big hp falcons including atomic builds etc smartest bloke I know lol

  14. The standard brembos on fpvs are soft as, im suprised you got 40k out of them im yet to see an fpv last much longer than that, its like saying my rear tyres are bald can I get warranty on that??
  15. Seen this happen a few times due to short in one of the remote keypads
  16. And what do you mean disabled vehicle security???? When you fit a new pcm you go through programable module instalation in ids and follow the instructions then do pcm parameter reset and all is good its not that hard..... Either the dealer you sent it to is retarded or theres somethibg else wrong.,, now that it starts is the miss fixed???
  17. No way, if a dealer calls front wheels bearings wear and tear under 100k they are retarded, if they fail and you have stock rims itl be covered even aftermarket rims if they knock u back your super unlucky
  18. this is called tear tagging... you need the tear tag number off an f6 typhoon and IDS software... after reprogramming abs module needs to be flashed also then no lights will be on bar oil pressure light..... phooned is correct (y)
  19. that's what I thought.... so 42lb injectors will max out at 320rwkw???
  20. hey guys, just signed up here, been a ford mechanic for 6 years now and finally bought an 05 bf xr6t sedan with 36000ks on the clock. mods so far are intake pipe and pod, monza cooler and xforce twin 2.5 mild steel system. coming mods will be 42lb injectors, 4"dump and highflow cat 12lb actuator and vcm flash, I have been doing alot of reading into valve springs and just wanted a few opinions as to whether il need to replace them. not lookin to make over 320rwkw. thanks!
  21. great results, will be doin my cooler soon, but these mods WILL void powertrain warranty, depending on if ford asks if it is modified which 9 times out of 10 they do for gearbox/engine failures. diffs and diff bushes they never ask because its so common.
